I bought a Ford Racing hat.  I never even looked at the back of the hat.  That was until my dad pointed out the saying.

"We Race.  You Win"

Obviously, the meaning is that Ford races, and the owners are the winners.  But whoever was behind that saying wasn't really thinking.

I think that 1975ssnova needs to make a little more than 400 horses to be cool enough to enter a CHEVY forums site. You know if you spent $2500.00 you spent to much.  I just made my 94 V6 mustang Vert a 513RwHp all motor and 642RwHp with laughing gas with about $2500.00 and I had to buy the complete mustang Cobra dirvetrain, computer, and harness.  But it helps a lot when your best friend just wrecked his cobra mustang and sold the entire car to me for only $800.00 oh and my uncle owns his own machine shop were he builds motors for a living.  So if you want to take that heavy chevy to school just let me know.  I'll take you their

First of all, look at the cars that chevy puts out today. You got you cobalt which isnt fast, and you have of course the corvette which no one that buys a chevy can really afford. OOOOOOOOHHHHHHHH but wait i forgot you have a ricers dream within the cavalier. You buy the dam thing new from them have it 2 years or so trade it in, and even chevy saids **** that piece of **** when you try and give it back to them.

For the people who say oh Fix or repair daily. I bet that my mustang could smoke the **** out of todays chevy's with half the motor hurting. Although i would stay away from the cavaliers, cuz u put a ricer exhuast, a giant wing, and some decals, and lets jsut say DONT **** WITH THOSE THINGS

lets see those camaros run from this

I have seen a camaro version on the streets patrolling around LA(when I visited my uncle that lives there).
Yeah I get the fix or repair daily....but when I owned my 93 F150 Lighting, there wasn't a local truck that could stomp me, and the only thing I had to fix or repair were the rear view mirrors so I could see there faces!!!  A few days before Christmas I went fishing(wet roads) hit a light pole and tore the pass. front side up.  We had to come back the next day to pick the truck up, and it started first time with almost all the battery acid on the pavement and I drove it onto the trailer!!
My dad owns a 99 Dodge 2500 diesel, has been through 3 recks with it, all but one reck he wasn't able to still drive daily, a clutch, a battery, some other trans problems, and it still runs better than brand new Dodge trucks. And yes it does drip oil! For some reason Dodge has sold nothing but truck lemons since 2000.
My grandmother drives a cavalier, and it has been knocking(nothing machanically wrong) ever since she has owned it.  I have noticed that ALL cavaliers do that. I know three people who have owned a chevy, drove it for a few months, then recieved a full refund for the vehicle after the wiring screwed up and there was no way to fix it(even the dealership said they couldn't fix it).
I now own a 2.3L mustang.  I have had one small oil leak but that was because one of the hoses had dry rotted and couldn't hold any oil.  My uncle owns a 66 mustang, and 04 mach 1(which hardly leaves the gargage because he doesn't want it the get dinged up), and a 01 F150(that was customed from a local hot rod shop before they bought it).  The 66 is completely restored and only problems with it:  blew a tire and screwed the fender(insurance cover that), stripped bolt made the exhaust hang down.....uh....that's it.  Haven't had a problem with the other 2 vehicles.
Like what has already been said, buy what you like and enjoy it.  I personally would like the new sports car Caddy(can't think of the name) ,or the new Aston Martin(that can go 0-100 in 6.5 sec.).  I am not a die hard Ford fan, but take pride in what I own no matter the brand.  Just my .02 cents.

i never understood the f---ed over rebuilt dodge....dont the small block dodge and small block chevy resemble eachother a whole lot more than a dodge and ford?

i will admit i dislike chevrolet as much as the next ford guy but i really do dislike Japanese imports...how many japanese cars today can run in the 12's or 13's stock, 5?? hell, fourty years ago ford gm and mopar had 50 or more cars that could do this and with todays technology and forced induction it seems like the imports would be.

aston martin is a ford owned company too, so maybe you like ford more than you thought.

How does this grab ya fellas? If you want to drive a real vehicle then you would switch to a chevrolet. Anyone who knows half a **** about automobiles know that this is chevy country. On a quiet night, you can even hear a ford rust! I live in the land of ice and snow in the northern most part of Minnesota, and nobody i know is dumb enough to think about driving a ford. Only a true chevy vehicle makes it through the conditions up there. Get out and trade your p.o.s.'s in and get into a real vehicle NOW!

did you join this site just to bash ford you dumb**** with nothing better to do, look who cares, people that talk smack about other american vehicles are just a-holes, i look at it where it is how much money did you spend to get your car a certain fast, and also the look factor to a degree(for instance the STI is a very fast car but it looks so freakin ugly that i dont have respect for its speed, you have to put some better looks into a fast car than that, but its an import, who cares), and settling it at the track doesn't do much justice either because the person you race probably has some mods which would cost them more money than you

also the new camaro will be faster unless ford builds a better powerplant by then, but they want to put the LS2 in it and they did that with the GTO and it cost like 36 grand, and its resale value droped like 10 in like 1 year, so you know that the new camaro is going to cost a lot more money than a GT, why are they doing that when a muscle car used to be an affordable way of getting good performance, not dishing out like 50+ grand for what chevy people say is the best car(vette) which most people can't afford until they hit their mid-life crisis age, the mustang is without a doubt the young persons iconic vehicle, because they are reasonably affordable

I like my oldest son's saying:
"Like a rock...you have to push it to make it move!"
But I've owned all the Big 3 AND a Rambler.
Each has it's good points and bad points.
But I like Mustangs so now I've got one.
I'll keep my Probe too, and I'm getting a 2nd Gen Escort wgon for my wife.
I don't like any of the new cars because you can't fit a 6 year old in the back
seat without them kicking the front seat.  If I could afford the gas I'd buy the 73
Ford LTD down on the corner lot.  That and the guy think Bare-it Jack@ss sets
the prices for him.
I call his lot The Car Motel.
They go in, but they never leave.

I've got a 91 TransAm ws6-LT1 & a 92 GT (88 GT prior to that). The stangs rule for sure.  I've had them both since new. Neither has had a major problem.  (ofcourse I take care of my stuff) I have no idea why I bought the T/A. Wife put 160 k on it and I just shoved it into the garage a few years ago. It still looks brand new inside & out.  Thing is, GM never ever opened their arms to after-market the way ford did nor did they ensure the platform was enthusiast friendly;  long single muffler sits sideways behind bumper...no clearance for after market dual plumbing etc... just a real pain if one were to want to modify. Then the next ones, 93s on, half the engine is under the windshield?  I drive my stang, every day, since 1992.
Dont forget; Ford has had its own Fiesta of Aspiring cars that Probed the Contour of the disposable car market. They also have the best Car in the world...Mustang

the f-bodies might be faster stock to stock, depending on model, but honestly the build quality is not quite as good as the stang. I get in my friends 02 SS maro and it just rattles and creaks like a bitch. my 02 GT was never like that. With some mods and whatnot I was right next to him. My 07 GT is just amazing.

The F-bodies are dead for a reason.

The Mustang reached a broader audience, that is why it is around still.

Import hater, heh, I work for Lexus and own a 06 GS430. LOVE my Lex. The build quality on any Honda, Toyota, and even Nissan (shudders) are better then any american car, I hate to say that I really do. They use better materials. Europeans have them all beat as for materials and fit and finish. It is what it is.

As for power, honestly ANY car can be fast who cares.....

enjoy your car and move on in life....

IMO

Agree with European; I also have a 95 BMW 525 sedan and a 05 BMW M-3 rag-top.  The sedan is for hauling 5 people only and the M3, not really a guy car.  Kind'a of girlish.  Wife drives it.  But part of the fun of the stang is rumble, rattles, squeaks, fumes etc... and driving skill in my hands not assisted by the machine. And launch fun vs. the top-end performance envelope of the European cars.  Germans do not even think of anything under 3rd gear or under 3k rpms as important. Noisey stangs rule.  I read this in Bimmer magazine just last week. I swear this is true and I'll scan it.  Guy wrote in wanting better low-end performance for his 323i. (their lowest performing/ lowest cost version of the 2.5 inline 6)  They reply was; "You can install a super charger but that still will not get you into good low-end performance...buy a Mustang for that"  I ran out into the living room and shoved my wife's magazine (Inga) in her face laughing my but off!   Made my day.

Wow...There is so much mis-information in this thread, I just don't know where to begin.

And before one of you noobs spouts off and tells me that I shouldn't be here, and I don't know what I'm talking about...You should know that I own a representation of each of the big 3.  An '88 Fox, an '05 GTO, and an '04 Grand Cherokee.

Not to mention my seemingly endless list of American V8 that I've previously owned.  Of which included a couple Mustangs, LS1's, LT1's, and other junk.

But the dude that posted a picture of a 2V police car and said "Let's see the Camaro's run from this."  Are you kidding me, or do you really just not get out enough?

You guys are funny. I thought the same thing when I saw his post originally. I believe, and I could be wrong, but I believe he is trying to say that since it is a police car, that they cannot outrun the radio. I could be wrong and he could be an idiot, but just a thought.

Hmmmmmmmm! I wonder what these kidiots are going to say, when that new challenger hits the streets?? And i happen to own camaros and stangs and have owned a shyt load of other cars !  I liked them all,  but bottom line is, put up or shut up ! some of you running around here talking about stuff you have  NO idea about  you should pick up a book and learn somthing before you speak ! and just out of  curiosity, has anyone here tryed running a srt-8 300c or charger? or a cts-v or v- line caddy's ? and colbalt SS SC  is not a slow as you might think, i remember seeing a few stang get ate up by a shadow ES m5 cars f-bodys (ect ls cars) , and yea mopar has been out of the loop but we know what there capable of doing! So if i were you guys (and im not ) i would not get to comfy making fun of them !!! and the saying around her is simple....

"If U can't run with the big dogs, THEN KEEP UR LIL AZZ ON THE PORCH !!
