Default Ride not right!!

I have a 01 gt with eibach pro kit springs on,original struts, bielstien hd shocks on rear..The car seems to sag about 1" on the drivers side.We took the springs off and swapt them from side to side and it still seems to sag a little. The shocks are brand new(purchased 6/06) ,the springs are about 4 years old.The car has 13000 miles on it.Also it still seems to bottom out on hard bumps>Whats making this happen. Is there a better route to go ?I'm thinking about this Max Mot sports coilover kit.It retails for about $1600.I'm tired of wasting money to find the ride i want' but willing to spend the money if it's the right thing for the car...

Your stock struts in the front combined with the large stock rear bumpstop in the rear is probably whats causing your car to bottom out.

Now that your car is lowered, your stock struts in the front may be too long, and will actually compress far enough to cause them to bottom out. Not only that, but your stock bumpstop in the rear is too tall, which will also cause the car to bottom out with aftermarket springs.

The above can be solved by getting new bilstein struts in the front (completely getting rid of the stock shocks) and getting a newer, lower profile bumpstop. We sell the Maximum Motorsports pinion snubber here..... http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...?idproduct=609 You can use this on the rear to help prevent bottoming out.

The sagging is probably caused by a faulty Eibach Pro-Kit. We have seen Eibach springs randomly sag in the past. It is more common with Eibach Sportlines, but we have seen this happen with the Pro-Kit as well.

The above can be solved with newer springs. I'd get something that does not lower as much, and has a bit stiffer spring rating. This will assure no sagging will take place, and restore your ride quality. Here is the link to the Steeda Sport Springs... http://www.stangsuspension.com/store...p?idproduct=61

Please let me know if you have any more questions...

Sincerely,

eibach pro kit 'snubber was used .It came with the springs.I thought eibach had a million mile warranty.Does this include sagging springs. For the steeda springs they dont look like they lower the car at all.Is there a nother choice of springs. My struts are original but the bottoming out is in the back,i dont understand how the struts are coming into play.

Ahh I wasnt aware that it was bottoming out in the rear. I dont believe was was given full information...

Eibach may have that covered under the warranty, you may want to call them.

Also, it is very hard to diagnose something over the nut. To know whether the axle/frame is bottoming out, or the rear shocks, or maybe another suspension component causing the problem... it is hard to tell...

There are other springs, such as the H&R super sports, or H&R sport springs that you may have better luck with...

Its difficult to diagnose a problem for you over the internet, without being right there with the car...

sorry about this lack info, like i said its just in tthe rear, the shocks are brand new purchased from you ..YEA i know its hard to figure out whats wrong without seeing the car but theres nobody in my area that seems to be trustworthy.I dont know what to do,i do everything to the car myself and now im stuck with this problem.how do you know if its a frame or axle?Or if its a bad spring?Or do you think the maximum motor sports coil over kit is the answer?Does this kit change the cars suspension completly or in just some minor ways?I need help bad or the car is going up in flames!![sm=badbadbad.gif]
