Default Pre LCA Purchase/Install Help

Well, I plan on purchasing the CHE LCA's within the week and just have some pre-install questions.

1. Where exactly is the best place of jacking up the car.
(Is it -necessary- to even lift the car to replace them?)

2. Could someone better explain on how to remove/ replace the parking brake cable from the caliper?
(http://www.cheperformance.com/instru...E1K/CHE1K.html Is helpful, but I would like just a little more knowledge before hand)

Thanks!

Ah ok, I'll keep that in mind for the front sway install.

But, I'm more interested if I can do the LCA install using ramps only? Like, if I raise the rear with ramps and then go ahead and
take out a LCA... the car isn't going to drop on me is it ?!? lol []

youll need to suspend your axle.. on your rocker near the rear there are notchs.. jack stands gothere.. also, do one control arm at a time.. , and beware... i did not get a chance to look, but ifyou undo your UCA your axle might drop further to the ground..i dont know, and dont think so, but it might.. i would put a pump jack under the center of the diff to help support the weight..then go ahaed and bolt it all on

Thanks alot!! Just what I needed to read. I did a semi run of jacking the car up today under the skirts where the notches are.
I hate every time I need to jack up the car. Just the noise alone of the springs makes me nervous that something will break.
I think I might need a stronger floor jack too. ( Is a two ton safe for jacking up one side at a time??)
As far as the UCA's go, I dont have any plans to replace them. And your right about supporting the rear end with the jack after the
car is on stands.

..Tommorow is purchase day! [sm=drooldude.gif]
