OK, I really like the look of the MUSTANG letters on the back of my Mustang but from day one I knew the tape on back SUCKED !!!!! Finally the T fell off but by the good graces I was parked when it fell and I seen it before I drove off. OK for the question...
Anyone bought emblems that had the pins on them and ground them off and put tape behind them? How would I put tape on something as small as these letters? The original tape was tto thick and soft or mooshy..I need something small and with great hold ?? Help.

I think the OEM standard is made by 3M, not sure you are going to find anything stronger or more long lasting. It is usually a green color and is double sided. That should be what is on the letters already, depending on their quality. I would think that you could attach the tape and trim it to the exact size of the letter prior to installation.

3M Double Sided Tape for autos is very good stuff, strong and lasts!
You can find it at Advance Auto Parts.

It would be funny if the letters M U and S fell off, cuz then you would get stuck with TANG!

This is exactly what my trunk looks like LOL...for some reason the stuff on the back of my letters had a thick rubbery tape that let the letters wiggle from day one. I forget where I ordered them from

maybe you didnt use enough rubbing alcohol to get off all of the wax to clean the area well enough before applying the letters? theres no other way unless you apllied no pressure at all lol when you applied em.

No, I smashed the SH*T out of them...it was like gum on the back side. I keep waiting for someone else who has them to chime in and say if the same stuff is on the back of theirs too or not.
