hmmmm. I maybe mistaken but when Mustangs first came out in 64 1/2 (were considered 1965 mustangs) the six cylinder cars were more popular than the 8 cylinders. It actually took a couple of years for the 289s to catch up to the 200ci six cylinders. So, yeah when Mustang first came out, before the muscle car era, they were the original pony cars, with sporty looks, long hood in front and a short rear deck. When the came out with the trans am & Nascar Bosses, and cars like the Mach 1 with the 428cj, they could play both the pony car and the muscle car role. This still continues today with the standard six cylinders & Possibly even GTs playing more the pony car and the mach 1s and Cobras being the muscle car contenders. Well thats my opinion I guess.

muztang girl, not all imports are under 15 g's...the "grocery getters" you speak of, yes, they're meant to go slow, get mileage and groceries. However, thats the fun of it to import guys. To take a car they bought for 400, drop in a jdm b16/b18 and haul ass next to Domestic V8s.
Most of todays (factory) sport compacts are under 20gs (Si, Tib GTV6, Sentra Spec V, Golf, SRT4).
but you still have the 30k imports like the STi, S2k, EVO8 and 350z... all of which are contenders for GT/Mach Is, respectively. They're expensive, but you expect them to be fast...because well they're fast as hell out of the box. Now when you pull up next to an EG civic, you're expecting to blow him away... but it may not always happen that way.

if you are stock V8 a Civic culd run with or beat you, with the right mods. Still a honda has a long way to go to get where a serious street racer is, somone like the guys from Detroit or Chicago. The single digit guys

this is the most ridiculous sh!t i have ever heard in my life,yet for some reason i just keep reading. Why can't everyone just get along and put all this import vs domestic crap to rest. People buy thier hondas,toyotas and everything else cuz thats the car they want,and the samething goes for all of us mustang,camaros,LS1's and whatever else. If people want to mod thier cars i really don't think thats a crime,it's all in good fun.We all love cars but because of our intrest in different cars everyone fights and bitches,gripes and complains.Lets get back to cars and end all this BS!!

I ain't skeered either. WRX your car is pretty quick for what you have done, but why do you think high 12's are that great, I mean my daily driver runs that and it is pretty much stock.
