06 Mustang GT vs. 199x pontiac firehawk

I am just going to make this short and to the point,I raced a firehawk with exhaust mods and possibly other things, did not get a chance to talk to the guy, anyway he ran me down in traffic (with his girl in the car) and we did two runs from a 40 roll and I pulled him so hard he must have felt like he was driving a nissan sentra (yes it was that bad) anyway, by the time I got two 85 or so his car was not identifiable without binaculars. His car was apparently way out of tune and also very tired and also was an automatic, I started in my sweet spot and that did not help his auto tranny car out much. His girl was hot and kept smiling at me, what is a man supposed to do?

Nice kill man. What times have you ran if have ran at the track? With your mods and a tune, I wouldnt be surprised if you were in the 12's, which means you could take a stock LS1, so no doubt this Firehawk was toast.

I have not been to the track yet, and in fact I have taken down the almighty ls1 in the form of a 99 z28 and a GTO! Both of those races were not pretty for these guys. I drove a stock 06 gt the other day just to compare the difference since my mods were installed and the difference in acceleration is insane. I want to do a few more mods, such as aluminum driveshaft and charge motion plates.

Those are a couple more nice kills. Hell if you can take out an LS1 Camaro, than I think you could take out an LS2 GTO. Either before or after your next mods, get to the track. I'm thinkin of a 12.8 maybe?????

Guys, im thinking it was a LT1..did they even make formula's in the 98-02 body style?

my gf's brother just got a '95 Formula, and teh only real difference i think is that they are dressed down, like a 'poor mans' GT or something...

i could be wrong, but i think he laid waste to a LT1

Yes they did make Formulas in the 98-02 body style. And with his mods I can see him stomping a Lt1, also I think he would beat a stock LS1 but not by as much.

UDP's, CAI+tune, and shorty headers (+5 hp maybe) and sticky tires is enough to get into the 12s, and beat an LS1? wow.
