Default ran over a damn crate!!!!

I was driving down a smaller highway, the ones that have like 200 yard spots every mile or so to bear over so u can turn on a side street. Well it was alot of traffic and i needed to turn left so i moved over to one of these little turning lanes and what do you know there is something in the middle of the road. i try to slow down more and look to see if i can merge back onto the highway but there is a car right beside me. So i run over this object in the road. It made the loudest noise, I was so scared to pull over and look at the front of my car. I pulled over and the headlights cut off i was like omg i screwed something up bad. I got out looked at the front of the car and there was no damage. I pushed the head light knob in abd pulled it back out and the lights came back on. Well i drove a half a mile up to the store and inspected my car more to see of it made something loose and to check for leaks. I searched the whole car and couldnt find any thing wrong so i went back to see what i hit and it was a big plastic 20 oz drink crate. I was so pissed but thank god it didnt mess any thing up on the car. Is there any thing i could double check tom morn? I drove the car another 35 mins to get back home with out any problems.

i have been looking at lowering my car, i sure am glad i havent yet or i would be looking for a new bumper right now
