So I am wondering how to remove the factory radio on my 2003 Mustang. The odd thing is it doesn't have the holes for the ford radio removal tools. Every other ford I have owned had those holes and you just popped the tools in there and pulled the head unit out, but this one appears to be different. I am assuming it is screwed in on the side or something but I am not sure how the trim panels come off of the dash, so if any one knows i'd appreciate it.

Thanks,

Donald

Your in luck I do trim work for a ford dealership. The center a/c trim panel needs to be removed for access to the radio. First remove the shifter / lighter trim by lifting upward and back just move aside don't disconnect wiring it will be ok. Next remove the 2 7mm screw heads and the center panel is ready to come off. Pull panel out ward it is attached with the same type of clips as the shifter trim cover. It can be stuborn so you may need a small screw drive to pry from behind trim panel be careful as to nat damage the dash Good luck
