I posted a video of the SAME GUY driving a Foxbody mustang...yet you don't seem to care too much about that video. Just proves the whole theory I have is when an Import beats up on a domestic you all gather around it and defend it to make yourselves look like you're better people and that the Impala really wasn't trying, or just some other really blatantly biased BS excuse.
Ok. This is rediculous. I don't think a whole lot of guys on this forum would defend an impala SS. Hell, I wouldn't even defend a lightly modified fox 'stang against that honda because I know the Honda has a **** load more mods done to it. All I am saying is that your "theory" (whatever you may think that you have proven) that when a domestic gets smoked by an import, we all "gather" around it and defend it to make ourselves look like we're better people. OH ****, THAT IMPALA IS GETTING SMOKED BY A HONDA? What does it matter that the impala is getting smoked by the Honda? Now, I'm not the one to "assume" things am I; but it looks like you are the one making assumptions about us. I will make a poll: What is your reaction to a Mustang getting smoked by an import? I bet you most (not including all) of the guys will not have "assumptions" that the mustang is better (because it is domestic)- just that the import guy's car is set up better. What I do think is funny too is how the civic hatch (the lightest bodied civic) has an engine transplant- and
quote:
I know how modified that civic is, it's got a B16 in a 2200 lb hatchback. I'm fairly sure he's got a rather useless CAI and exhaust, and right now he's hooking up his Nitrous. yes thats right I said Nitrous, not naawwwws.
Yeah, sure you "know" how modified the civic is. From what I recollect, you already explained how it has a B16 in a hatchback. And, a genious move to say its got useless CAI and exhaust. And congradulations einstein... "NOS" and nitrous are the same thing. It's just how people refer to it... but some anal SOBs have to refer to it as nitrous. ****, if you wanted to get technical why don't you just say Nitrous oxide? I bet you don't even know the benefits of and how nitrous works... But at any rate, that civic SHOULD be quick with the bottle. Anyway, I'm tired of trying to argue about this **** it is getting boring.. I want to talk about real life situations and not a modified lightweight hatch against a 4000+ lb stock Impala SS. IM OUT

NOS and Nitrous are not the same thing.
NOS is a company that sells Nitrous, and Nitrous is the gas itself. Genious. A CAI won't do much of anything on an NA Civic, and unless he has a complete custom setup catback it's useless as well (big fart cannons are useless, we all know this).
Since you didn't want to "argue" (although you made absolutely no points to argue about anyway,) why are you in the thread?
I was hoping this was just going to die cause I'm sick of listening to inane rambling.
YOU MIGHT BE A RICER IF: -You think a deep farty noise = the sound of high performance -You think pushrods are a bad thing... You buy race gas to drop you from 17.02 to 16.9 in the quarter, and brag to all your friends about how fast you went
i do not agre with the bold You might be a ricer if... due to the fact that the modular engines in the mustang are all OHC some are even DOHC, therefore they do not have push rods, lol please dont be so vague, lol just add in an imort to that statement, lol

sorry it is off topic but it had to be said, lol
So you do think pushrods are a bad thing? I'm not getting it. What if he has a 5.ooooo, then he has a pushrod. Or hell, going by his name, I'm gonna assume he has a 289 with pushrods.
Oh my god- you guys have got to be ****ing kidding me!!! You seriously think thatI am the one who thinks pushrods are bad? I have a '68 coupe with a '95 5.0 converted to a carbureted setup.. hell, pushrods being bad? LOL! with that being said, I also love the 4.6 DOHC..the 4.6 DOHC Cobra engines are one of my favorite engines--- and how many '96-04 mustang owners think that pushrods are a bad thing? And, 98 LS1, I think the LS1 is one of the greatest modern smallblocks produced.. Probably not too many... If you are confused, look at the heading of my signature:YOU MIGHT BE A RICER IF: I think you guys are getting the wrong idea about my signature. It is supposed to be poking fun at ricers.. Any ways 2000si:

WOW: you do know the difference between the two! I think you have learned something throughout this anyway.. Nitrous oxide is the mixture of 2 parts nitrogen 1 part oxygen. (hence: N20) and the reason it boosts horsepower and torque is because it enriches the fuel with more oxygen (than normally aspirated engines)which enters into the engine through the intake. Even though it is not 100% complete oxygen, it still gives the engine a considerable gain of oxygen- the atmosphere is about 78% nitrogen and 20% oxygen, the rest is other crap.. and nitrous (don't quote me on it im not sure) is about 60-65% nitrogen and 35-40% oxygen 2000SI, I was just trying to point out that people know what you are referring to when you say "NOS".. I would too also prefer saying it as "nitrous" or "the bottle" or "squeeze", but I don't get anal about it. So, are you going to tell everyone how modified that hatch is or are we going to keep having a **** talking contest? If everyone knows the exact specs on the car, it would be better.. just my opinion. Here is my signature again for those of you who get it:

haha a'ight let me get on HS and ask him what his mods are. I know he has a centerforce clutch of some sort... he just blew his clutch pedal...dunno how, but it broke. lol

I didn't quote you.....look closely. You're my kinda guy. Do you like IDB!?
I know exactly what you meant and I know exactly where you got the quote from. I quoted homedude who said something about how the newer GT's aren't pushrods. Not you.

I don't know much about Hondas but I ran a guy last night coming from our local track, he didn't run at the track, unfortunately, but on the way back we were playing around. I did beat him from a 35-40 mph roll 4 times, but he had a B16 all the bolt ons and a turbo, not sure what size but we had pulled over to talk. I will admit, it was quick. He definately surprised me. But his friend and my First Sergeant's [Army Rank] son has a 92 civic that is fast as F+ck, 7.6's in the 1/8th. He just had it dyno'd, 378 at the wheels. and it looks like a POS. But he hates "ricers" too. His idea of a ricer is the big wing and buzzbomb muffler and all the bullsh!t stuff they put on. He considers himself an enthusiast of horsepower and speed. But he's cool and knows his sh!t.

Oh, and I did this with my bone stock Z28 which weighs in at 3600lbs uh, you tell me if he could have really taken the Imp. mine was runnin 9.0-9.2 in stock trim. and I took a turbo'd civic last night in car a that runs 8.9's. his motor might have been a B18, HELL I don't know the difference or models
