Timing chain cover question - 6/29/2006 5:10:00 PM    z3080   Posts: 36 Joined: 3/1/2006 Status: offline I'm re-assembling my 289. I don't have an alingment tool for the front seal. Can I just install the harmonic damper and torque it to 90 ft-lbs. to align the seal? Post #: 1

Install your damper and then tighten the bolts on the cover. The damper will center the cover. (in reply to z3080) Post #: 2
