DAMN! I raced him from a roll in the Iroc-z before, unbeknown that he was packing a supercharger. He violated me, brutally...this was before the new motor of course ;)
heh Now...in the GT...from a 10 mph roll we stayed door to door through 1st, we shifted at identical times, I outshifted him (woooohooo haha) and pull a door on him, then I kept inching through 2nd...literally...inching..
Hit 3rd, bam. Missed it....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRT and it bounced back into neutral!! DAMMIT!
Do you realize how much this frustrates me? His dial time was right on his window from the track tonight @ 13.2 and AAAH I can't afford to go to the track right now and this would of been the perfect guage to what I can do with traction, I'm curious to know who would of pulled who in 3rd gear...Damn, I'm so mad at myself for missing 3rd gear.
It got stuck right between 1st & 3rd and I just kept jamming it up against it. AAAH hahah I'm so mad at myself, I guess my first mod (since I've owned it) will be for a short throw shifter rather than the radials like I had w

the shortshifter should help, but i dont think i'm going back to the track without radials, just a waste of rubber cause i wont get the times or traction on the track i can get on the street. and seeing as how i just got my car back last night after being down for 2 1/2 weeks for a new clutch, i wont be racing it for a while. not even street racing at a light. prob not till next year, before another run at the track. what would have been my best run turned into a 15.1 @ 93.7 after missing 4th with my tri ax, damn near put it in 2nd. hands sweaty too eager to get a half decent time, just plain missed it good. with short shifter and radials you'd prob have pulled on him a bit harder.
now if you had that nitrous he would have sh!t his pants*L*
I sumtimes leave my time on the window but add 1-2 sec to it..so I can rake in some $$$$ not going to get much action with a 10.8 on the window
Oh and you guys are raggin me about sandbaggin? JEEEZZZ!!!!!
I know what ya mean, I just drive an old Bird that looks like a POS, paint dont make it go does it? So no matter what I put on the window, they dont believe it will run that fast. I could put 13.9 on it and they would point and laugh at me.
10.8 is pretty good unless its 1/8, wich I know its not. No you wont get many races unless you are near an 1/8 track.
no it's in the 1/4 I have about .5 sec left in the car...but with this set up it doesn't break parts, can be driven around town, just put in gas and go....not much maintance...
what's wrong with sand bagging it pays the bills. I make more on the weekend then I do at the track....I do fairly good at the track...

That's probably because they all know you're packing some heat under the hood now ;)
After I got some radials for my old Iroc I called out a couple friends with tubbed cars to race from a set of lights and once word got around that I was leaving them like a joke from a light pretty much everyone gave up trying to race me. This was with a stock stall & tranny with 3.23's ;)
tell you guys what my dad used to do..he had a 69 impala wagon..he black out all the window the car had 1 seat and a radio...had a 427 roller engine with 400hp shot..the man cleaned up.. car was gutted...it was fairly quite had 3 inch exhausted tucked in nicely..9 inch rear with 4;30 gears lil 1050 dominator, alum heads we dyno it a 655 hp with the 400 shot is was like 898hp..them was the days
