As you can see..there are far more saleens on this site, so the opinion is gonna sway that way. I agree with the person that said research it yourself. I love my Stage 3 Roush...I also like some of the saleens. Now in regards to who compared the Stage 3 to the supercharged Saleen....one thing to look at, look at both the supercharger kits and see who takes more pride in theirs. But, either way...Saleens and Roushs...both awesome attention-getting mustangs
I think that saleen does, I think if you took a poll of what s/c they have on there mustang, minus the saleen s/c and the roush stage 3 since we know which ones they have you will see more people choose Saleen over Roush when it comes to s/c on there stangs of course we are talking 05/06 stangs.
Yes Roush makes anywhere from 2000 to 2500 roush saleen only makes maybe 1200-1400 this year, thats a big difference when you are talking limited production cars.
I think some people may thing there are more saleens out there because next to the cobra the saleen is copied more.

Currently Saleen is the only mustang tuner THAT REMOVES THE ENGINE and only in the Extreme. They remove the engine, install all forged internals and special gind camshafts. Currently, the rest of the tuners bolt on parts (incl Saleen in the S281 and S281SC).
I didn't say Saleen was the only mustang tuner.

Well, if you REALLY want to get technical - you don't have to buy an S-281 E to have the engine removed. Just belly up the $15-17K extra for one of their few special paints (Rainbow, Lizstick Red, Beryllium, etc..) and the engine will come out for paint
yea, and those two colors add $15,000 (I think)? There was a Lizstick red 'vert at Fun Ford. Beautiful car! If I remember, the color option was $15,000.

I wanted the berrilium so bad but it was too much. It was either a S281-SC and upgraded paint or a s281-e. I think I made the right choice. Especially after seeing a s281-e in berrilium. I love the color on the s7 and the older extreme, but for some reason I didn't like it on the newer extremes. I do like the trilogy silver now that I have seen it.

bugman - visit the sticky thread at the top "The Unofficial, Official How To Tell......" Post. There you will learn how to use NADA for the Saleens First off you need to verify that it is a REAL Saleen. Looks like you have the bumper number, do you have the last 3 digits of the VIN?
Hi David...The turbonator comment shows that you and most everyone else on this thread like their Saleens'.Thats fine ,however since we are all grown ups here ,please don't expect too many Roush folks to come on board and discuss this ... Obviously you are bias since the motor of a Saleen gets yanked out for internal mods. You don't have to be rude about it...(I hope you meant that as a joke). That is why you didn't get me to reply to this thread(or too many other Stage 3 Roush owners), earlier.
To enlighten you about my opinion on Roushs' and Saleens',the Saleen does have a much stronger motor. On the other hand I still really like my Stage 3 Roush..
Notice that when you read this, that I was not rude to you.
Someone has dumped us into the same area on the forum. Not my fault.I am just asking you to not be so iconically challenged. These are all Mustangs here.I hope the extent of all of the discussions from now on aren't..."my car is better than your car..." Be a good sport.
