"He temporarily lost access to his stuff......" Now, apparently, it has come to light that he didnt follow the rules of the site. Im sure his actions were completely innocent.

It's showing up in the all the 05/06 forums because it was posted as a Forum Announcement (probably by a moderator). I don't think you can reply or do anything with the announements. They are just informational. The mods should have probably just posted it in the 05-06 V8 forum, but probably wanted to make sure as many people as possible were aware of it. I know I'm glad they did because I don't go into the V8 specific forum that much even though I have a GT.

What else needs to be purchased for this kit?
Do we still need to supply a tune, or is this included.
Also, Is this something that a shop Needs to install, or can a layperson/shade tree do it him/her self?

Basically Everything is included in the kit. The only part you need to supply are intake gaskets. If you low mileage, you can reuse the ones on the car. These gaskets are made of composite plastic and have molded o-rings on it for each port. The kit comes with a red label and box to send your PCM to Saleen for a reflash. The install is pretty straight forward. The blower unit itself is one complete pc. that drops in place of the factory intake mainfold. If you have mechanical skills, I beleive you can do it. If you have any other questions, let us know.

When you say it comes with a box for the PCM reflash to be sent to Saleen, does that mean once installed it won't work until you send your PCM in? Most other systems I've read have the device (diablo, SCT X cal...) progamed for you to reflash your PCM. I'm new at this so sory if my question is wrong.

Hello, There are no wrong questions here. Once you have installed the blower kit, it will run BUT NOT correctly....A/F ratio, timing etc. will be off! Saleen does reflash your PCM with a new file. You can have a custom tune done using a handheld tuner...uploading custom tune into tuner and then downloading to the PCM. So bottom line, no tuner comes with this kit. You should be able to save the Saleen Tune to your aftermarket tuner before you make any changes to it. That way you can always revert back to it if you need to. You'd do the same thing if you were making any upgrades with an aftermarket tuner. Always make sure you have a copy of the stock tune, and then create a new one to play with. That way you can always go back to original if you need any warranty work done. As for the option of just foregoing Saleen's tune, yeah, you could do that, but from what I understand Saleen is a bit picky about their warranty work too. So, you'll probably want to at least send in you PCM to get it programmed so that you can say you did it, and then re-tune with a professional tuner if you're not happy with the Saleen tune. Like I said though, make sure you get a copy of the original Saleen tune that you can go back to if you need to.

Spoke to Casey myself today, (he was on the road). I am looking forward to my new, (very heavy!!!) plenum cover! I already have the pillar pod, (thanks SOS!!!) and gauges, (Nexus gauges are the bomb if you have Mycolor!)....

Casey, thank you for your reply. I have just read all the latest post on the "group buy" thread. My questions are: How long after we make this purchase will we have to wait before we get the goods? Is this one of those deals where these items arent even built until the ALL the orders have been turned in? Second, concerning the tune, If I have Diablo tuner, can the Saleen tune be e-mailed to me. My concerns are that we have to wait 4-6 weeks for the orders to be filled. Then all at once all of us are sending in our PCM for the tune install. What if Haney is bombarded with the task of filling all those orders and we will have to wait several more weeks to get the PCM back? I would be a stronger candidate for this offer if I knew for certain this would all happpen in a mater of a week or so. And I would prefer a download tune. I am concerend about sending in my PCM and being with out it for several weeks.

We are closing the group buy for the Mustang Forums members on Friday the 14th. Currently we the blowers on order with Saleen. Our sales rep knows that we are ending this buy on Friday. We will/should be picking up a dozen or so blowers the first part of next week. As for the reflash, you will be sending your PCM directly to Saleen. When you receive your s/c, there will be a box and Next day air shipping label to send in your PCM. As soon As Saleen receives your PCM, they will reflash and Next day it back to you. If you are not interested in using the Saleen tune, I recommend locating a tuner that has done some tunes for the Saleen s/c. Thank you.

I would also be most interested in the next sale if you cant extend this one. I sent an email last night.

My email is gmascagni@hotmail.com I would like to know the details of the deal. I'm currently in the market for a SC kit. I have a few questions for you regarding this kit:

1) My 05 GT Vert has 2000 miles and is still covered by my factory warrenty. Will this kit void my warrenty? Are there authorized dealers that will install and not void my warrenty?
2) I read on another fourm that if using the stock hood I would need to get different motor mounts to lower the engine is this accurate?
3) I've also heard about complaints about the Saleen tune not being very good. What would you suggest? Is this accurate or should I go with an SCT or predator tune?
4) I also read that on the 05-06 GT motors you shouldnt go over 425 HP since the motor wasn't built to withstand the higher HP gains like the older 03-04 cobras that were built with forged goodies.

Any comments or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.
