Default RE: Body Rot Prediction

If you had asked this question twenty years ago, I would have agreed. Unless I am wrong, most cars these days are dipped in material to inhibit corosion. We had a 99 MUSTANG convertible that sat outside for four of the seven years that we owned it. It was immaculate when traded and I never saw any indication of any rust or body ROT. I have a five year old ESCAPE that sits outside and same deal.
