ok, a few questions and please anyone that can help throw in ur 2 cents...

what gears would be best for our cars and what rear end should come with them?

what CAI and Tuner would be best to get the most power out of my car?

besides gears and CAI w/ Tune, what else could i do with my car that wont cost me an arm and a leg to get some power out of it? i know to get gears (i hear 3.73s are good for the 2005 V6s but not sure), and i hear C&L with XCAL II is a good CAI and Tuner that work well with each other....i guess i could get headers and pullies but im not sure...but yeah, with anything u guys decide to let me know please be detailed in how it works or why or why not it would be a good buy cuz im still a newb at modifying cars. this is my first car and i wanna do mods but need the best feedback from all of u who decide to help me out. i would appreciate it alot. so if u guys can tell me what would be best and explain what it would do to my car that would be great!! thanks for ur time everyone

3.73s are probably the best for the street. Get a T-Lok if you don't plan to launch too hard at the dragstrip and/or don't plan on going FI. You could get headers and dual exhaust but it won't really give you a whole lot more power.

I have heard 3.73 are good for everyday driving. If you just drive the streets and have track aspirations you may want move up to 4.10. Remember that the higher the gear ratio the more RPMs will be produced and the harder your engine is working. I don't know alot about headers but have heard they do give some gains (run around $400-500 for shorty's) and I saw a UDP set-up at RPM outlet that claimed to give 16 RWHP. Whatever you do stay away from crap like Throttle Body Spacers, Turbonators and fake ebay power chips. None of them work and are a waste of money.

Our cars have a 7.5 rear end...as far as CAI and tuner. Many have been happy with the C & L and tune from Bamachips. That is the one I plan on going with. I believe Beaustang has an AFE cai and I am not sure but I do not think that needs a tune? Correct me if I am wrong though. Anyway, he seems happy with that on reading his posts. And most important. As PAT stated. STAY away from those gimmicky ads that offer 30+ HP for only 59.95 ie turbonator, magnafloams etc...

some will tell you for an auto get 4.10, 3.73 for manual. others will tell you deffinitively 4.10 or 3.73 no matter what. Its your pick. You get better gas milage and lower revs with the 3.73's (obviously) but you get quicker take-offs and whatnot with the 4.10's. its your pick, pal

For everyday driving and not going to the track that much I would stick with the 3.73.; and as far as intakes and tunes the best is the C&L Intake and X-calibrator 2 which if you have a manual you should get it at Bamachips but if you have a auto definetely get it from Alternative Auto. I think you need something a little tougher at the track, like a detroit tru-trac or auburn? lsd. I think the T-lok is intended more for everyday driving. All of these mods really come down to whether you're gonna use your car more for track racing or everyday driving.
