Default Flamethrower Kit

I just put a flamethrower kit on my 2000. The kit is sparking like it should, however the exhaust is not igniting. WOuld a CAI cause the engine to run more lean and not providing enough fuel to the mixture or is there another problem. How can i fix this and get it to work? And would a higher octane fuel be easier to work?

whoa rockin, I can't let you talk to PRO that way. He's the "shyt" so back off a little man.

However, I don't quite agree with you either PRO. Hotrodders invented the flamethrower exhuast, not those pesky ricers. I think its a little old school personally and pretty badace. But to each his own.

cool, I'm glad everything is civil.

but to the question at hand. What kind of kit is this? did you just rig some plugs up on the tail pipes? Or do you have coils? do you have cats?

I know this doesn't help at all, but you should set the kit up w/ a rice alarm so that when they pull up behind you wanting to run you can melt their face off. That is all.

Cuz I would never put anything that ridiculous on my car. Yeah, to each his own. So to the question, you have link to the kit? Is it just supposed to ignite w/e gasses are coming out the t-pipe. The cai will not make it run lean. It would have to be rich in the first place so there would be extra fuel in the exhaust. Something I wouldn't want. What do the instructions say?

Cats will take out most/nearly all unburnt gas out of the exhaust. Find someone who will lend you a straight h/x-pipe for an hour or whatever.
