I want to buy a new car, and i absolutely love the new mustangs. I can't decide between the v6 and the v8 though. It's not really a matter of price to me, i just wondered what you v6ers thought of your cars? do you love them? and why?

I got my car totally off of its looks. I didn't like the V8's which were all verts. I love my car because it completes me. (I probably had you all at hi) LOL.
My love affair started 25 years ago!!!! I almost bought a 1960's to restore...Then Ford came out with the retro look......
For me is the satisfaction of modding...... creating, Improving....... 400rwhp is my goal....and a six is a perfect candidate for that...... If money is no option to you and you don't "really enjoy" creating a beast......Buy a GT, you will be happy.
go with a gT, the tranny is butter smooth and theres nothing u wont like about it... the v6 IS AWESOME BUT, theres always that nagging feeling int he back of my mind that ford ****ed us slightly ont he quality... the tranny and clutch are noisy and i cant barely shift to reverse after 4000 miles.... and my bro inlaws 06 gt is still shifting butter smooth and fast a ****...
actually... the reason i bought a six was because of the markup on the GTs... plain and simple I will never pay MSRP for a car, let alone a $2500+ markup! LOL! I could have easily afforded a GT, but it was the principal.... I got my six for 1800 UNDER invoice... Also Yellow GT's were basically non-existant here in Michigan... LOL I really love what The Mistress has become.. chances are if i had gone with a GT it would have ended up staying stock! LOL!
If price is not an issue then go for the GT... that way you won't be second guessing yourself... that being said, I glad i stuck to my principals and bough the 6! LOL!

I take a lot of heat for having an automatic... but the nice thing is it's the same tranny (with minor differences) as the GT... LOL!

I love the way my V6 sounds (with a single GT take-off). V8's sound absolutely great, but the 4.0 motors have a unique sound to them that I love. The tone almost has a European sound to it. Throaty and mean. I alomost never start my car with the key - I use the remote starter so I can hear it fire up from outside. Oh so sweet music!!! That's what I love about my V6.
I have never regretted my decision to buy a V6 instead of a GT. Plus I like the V6 body better. Drive both, and decide for yourself.

I have an MRT axel back on mine, and I LOVE the sound the car makes when I punch it off a red light and the RPMS go to about 4000. Sounds Incredible! I also like to see how all the other cars are WAY behind me...
I also like how strangers will say "nice car, is that the new Mustang? That things awesome...reminds me of the 60's"
I love the fact that I get asked by people in POS MiniVans "whydyabydatder6" ifertmeidagatntheGT" And yes all one word like that. I would never get to speak to such simple minded people if I had a GT... I feel it really keeps me real.

Belive it or not I had originaly went to the dearlership to buy the V8 my wife told me it was ok and I could buy it.....When we got there they had this really nice black V6 on the showroom floor with 20" inch wheels with the red interior it was love at first sight. The wife even ask me are you sure you want the V6 and I told her.....did not care if it had a V8 or not. I brought the car right off the showroom floor in the long run I was able to save about $6K over the V8. I have no regrets and I love it.

I learned to drive on a 68 (in 68 BTW) and have loved them ever since. I fell in love with my silver convertible as it sat on the lot at the FORD dealer, we had just finished inspecting my wife's then LASER RED 99 convertible.
The V-6 has everything I need, plus some gas mileage (quite impressive for a sporty car). A GT take-off muffler and some minor cosmetic changes, I love it.
Before you decide, you might want to call the insurance man, his answers as to rate quotes might make the decision for you. The SIX should be much more reasonable.

I love the V6 in my car. It has ample horse power for what I do, that is I drive in the city and I don't race. The automatic shifts like butter, the torque on from starts @ lights is fun, and it has more than plenty passing power on the highway. I saw my car @ the dealer, no ABS, no traction control, and it had leather and a shaker 500. It just feels like an old school muscle car.
