Default 2.3L '92 Timing Belt

I am in need of some help. I need to replace my timing belt, and finish resetting the timing, but it's been hell trying to get off both the Waterpump and the Crank pulley. I've got three out of four of the nuts loosened on the waterpump, but the other won't give. Is there an easier way to loosen it, because brute force isn't working. Thanks.

Brute force really is the only way. Impact gun would work wonders.

The crankshaft pulley you almost absolutely need an impact gun. Then you need a special puller for it. I dont know where you can find it anymore.

Hey thanks for the response, I took off both pulleys, I finally got this belt wrench, had my friend wrap it around the pulley and hold it in place. It was hard but it finally gave. I thought all was good but i ran into another problem...

I can't seem to slip the belt between the small gap between the crankshaft itself and where the belt needs to go. Is that rusted piece supposed to be able to come off or is there a way I'm supposed to put the belt between the gap?

I didn't remove the pump, just the pulley attached. I really just did it for the hell of it, it just gave me a better view of the situation.

I did this on my friends 87 and we had the same problem. there is no way you'll be able to get the timming belt around that gap and get it on the right tooth. you need to get a gear puller for that, I got one from o'rielys for $15. once you get that bottom piece off its a piece of cake. you also have to loosen the two bolts that hold the tensioner in place to get the old one out.
