First kill & w/new CAI...

...So during lunch today, running some errands, and then a black & gold 5.0 Mustang GT pulls up next to me & rolls his window down & says..."is that an 05 or 06?" I told him its an 06 V6....so he tells me nice ride and says "feeling lucky?" as he revs his stang, which did sound pretty nice BTW...so I looked ahead, all was clear so I said "why not?".....Turned the OD off, & lost some rubber on the dig but it was neck and neck until about we reached 3rd & I started to actually pull ahead and then more & more until I was doing 80 when I looked & he was about 2 lengths behind on the left. We meet at the light, he tells me "that it is not a stock six" & I told him "Nah..I tinkered a bit with it" and he laughed and said "nice run" and that he wants to get a new one too, gives me the peace sign and makes a left turn.

The moral of the story kids, is that: WOW what a rush that was...a 5.0 victim!

Nice. 5.0's are tough off the dig with all that torque they have. I'm just dissappointed you didn't flip him off after you beat him.

I do have a question for you guys out there...

The older GT's (say 1999-2004) they were all 5.0? or where there smaller...I know some of the v6'rs were 3.8 or 3.6...but not sure on the GT's

They stopped making 5.0's in 94 I think. Ford went to a 4.6 liter afterwards but the 5.0 does have quite a reputation.
