when you guys race your autos how in the world do you get a good take off


withoutt killing hte transmission?

power brake it...hold the brake all the way down and rev the engine as high as you can w/o letting the wheels spin....when u see green, let off the brake and floor the gas...

powerbraking isn't too hard on the tranny.... you're only reving to 1500-2000 rpm's or so for a couple seconds. Racing isn't exactly pampering any part of your ride.

a limited slip differential greatly helps with launches too.

Holy geeeeez!! ANd what exactly does the takeoff feel like?? I do not picture myself ever doing this but it sounds bad ass.

Powerbraking shouldn't hurt anything, if anything your tires might get lower milage and same with your brakes.
But I'm also a newbie Auto Launcher, all my previous cars were Sticks, so I love the Auto and hate it at the same time haha

get awd, an insanely strong clutch, some drag radials, and a v10. OH OH! and a neck brace for the whiplash.
