Believe it or not, I almost fell prey to a set of the wrong rims at the right price. When I first got my car, I was embarrassed at my rims. My neighbor saw my car, and said, "Oh I have a set of chrome, four-lug rims in the garage. They're nice rims. I'll give them to you for like a hundred bucks." With wide eyes, I replied, "With tires?" He said, "Brand new low profiles." I thought I was hooked up. He went to the garage, and brought back a chrome Dayton with gold spokes. Shiny like a MF, but Daytons nonetheless. At the time, I didn't know 5.0 etiquette, and vaguely entertained the idea of rocking the set until I could get something better. Luckily, the gaud factor finally talked me out of it. Then a month ago, I saw an old pimp driving down the highway. He was rocking the same rims on a convertible five-liter. My wife and I thought it looked hilarious. The moral of the story is: 5.0s and Daytons are like tunafish and ice cream--They're not funny even kidding.

Could be wrong, an there's a lot more knowledgable people than i, but i believe the bore is the same... the stroke is just longer... an thats another thing you bring up... would love a s/c... but i would have to dumb down the pistons cuz my compression is too much to install a s/c... one day when i have zillions of $$$ that i dont know what to do with... :D:D:D

some stupid cheap ECU mod that tricks your computer into giving you a couple extra hp.

i didnt put it on the car but the guy that owned the car before said he dyno's it before and after and it was good for 13rwhp

i dont know if i believe the guy, but whatever,

when i stop procrastonating and throw some money into my car ill get a custom tune for my mods.

that is, when i do the damn mods haha.

Can't you simply tune your engine with a computer rather than getting a 'smart' chip? Or is that impossible?

you can tune it with your stock computer and one of them dyno tuners i think.

at least thats what ive gathered from these forums.

i think my "superchip" tricks the engine into thinking it's running colder

But what about the ECU. Wouldnt the computer kind of work against any tweaking? Or is there a way to disconnect it then tune then reset the computer? [sm=dontgetit.gif]

from my understanding, you do all your crazy mods...

and then you buy one of those dyno tuning thingers, like a diablosport blah blah mumbo jumbo

and take it to a guy, and he plugs it into your ECU and you run it on the dyno with different tunes

until you find one that make the best power.
