Default using rouch cast wheel cleaner on polished aluminum is really dumb

pshh i hate advanced auto now. they put their eagle one spray wheel cleaners with the exact same color bottles right next to eachother. one kind is for rough cast aluminum and the other is for all types of aluminum. so what did i do? i grabed the rough cast bottle and sprayed it on one of my cobra R wheels. now the shine has faded in most spots on it and i'm really disgusted that i could be that much of an idiot. does anyone know if there is some sort of compound or something that will restore the metal to the way it was before i sprayed that crap on? or how does one go about resoting the shine it. it tried mothers plosih and a bunch of other whell cleaners. they do nothing. someone plese help me, i'm heart broken haha.

Doubt there is anything you can do. It probably ate the clear coat off. That's why they make different strengths. I thought Murphy lived here. I wondered where he went. Say hey for me will ya?!

ps...Don'tcha just hate doing stupid crap. ...I do!

If the wheels are clearcoated, I doubt the cleaner ate through it. Look for Mother's Power Polish for paint and give it a try. You probably just need to remove the etching to restore the gloss.

If its a chomre/polished wheel just hit it with mothers chomre polish or the powerball. If its painted, i guess just try some different cleaner on it a few times and see if anything happens.
