Is the best ground for aftermarket amplifiers the bolt that holds your rear seatbelts? Thanks?

I have a buzzing noise in my speakers. When I turn my car on it gets louder. Is this due to a bad ground. The RCA's are competition series and are run down the opposite side of my power wires.

I am not sure, I believe so. I am using all new speaker wire rather than the factory wire. I know I did not hook the speaker wires up to the stock ones from the headunit because the am is runnning the speakers from the amplifier. I have the one metal looking plug unplugged and tapped up as to not ground out if it were to touch metal. (one by the headunit) I had the MACH 460 but removed it. The one amp is still in my car, the one under the headunit. I am not sure how to remove it so I left it go. I took out the wiring harness that runs along the driver side for the mach 460 it was connected on the foor on the drivers side and ran into the trunk and connected into two other plugs along the way (or so I think). Should I reconnect that harness back up or does that not matter. Any help would be great because i am highly frustrated and am without anymore ideas. Thanks

Had the same problem turned out to be faulty speaker wire. I have a 700watt amp for my front and rear, and a 1000watt pushing my 12's. Had same problem, went to www.knukonceptz.com and got the best rca cables on the market, also ordered 12 gauge speaker wire. It can be one of many things but check the grounds first, make sure you only have one ground per product, looped grounds are the culprit of most noise, aka alternator whine.

Did you run new wires through to the doors from your amp or is your head unit pushing the front speakers? Like I said try disconnecting the rca's behind the radio and see if the noise continues.
I can get ya through this mang stick with me. I have been installing for over a decade, one of my first being my 1994 gt that was my mothers at the time and I recently put in my garage.... Check out my cardomain page for an easy 460 bypass.
I would find a new ground, somewhere in the car like under the carpet in the trunk or under the rear seat. Scrape of all the paint where your metal from the ring terminal will be touching, and drill your own holes with self tapping screws and make sure to use starwashers to ensure a good connection with the grounded area. MOST IMPORTANTLY, check underneath the car for the gas tank. You wouldnt want to drill through that. Besides, I would never use a bolt in the car.
