SPDSK8N 06-16-2006, 02:13 PM First post and New Member here...
I am looking for pics of custom paint Mustangs... I am REALLY interested in looking at two tone paint jobs. My baby is in the shop and I have to come up with a paint scheme soon. Sooo any pics you guys have would be great!
Soaring 06-16-2006, 03:07 PM Welcome noob. Although a newer model than our classics, here is a black and red one that I like if you are going with two-tone.

there's a car in that pic?! where?!
LOL! that's nice, but if you want ideas for a classic, i suggest you go to the chop shop section and let 'em know what you wanna use as colors and placement. they'll be able to do a good job for ya.
SPDSK8N 06-16-2006, 03:24 PM Soaring,
Thanks Man! Even though not the same year as you said it does give me something to work with... I really like the transition line between the colors... I was wondering what to do about that!
I managed to find the HOK paint that I wanted also... heck they even put it on a classic FB 2+2 mustang.
Thanks for the pic again.
SPDSK8N 06-16-2006, 03:25 PM Clutch... thanks man I'll check it out!

Color by WEASEL 06-16-2006, 05:25 PM Actually, the car is sweet too. The white separation stripe is a good accent.
Original post...what year is yours. Maybe can come up with something.
EDIT...duh, I see a later sig of a 66. Ok...more to follow!

Hehe... hey Man... I like your work... if you dont mind I may bounce some questions off of you on the HOK stuff... I know I am going that route but with some of their product i am not to sure on and how they lay onto each other.
Let me know if its cool to contact you offline...

Color by WEASEL 06-16-2006, 05:41 PM Glad too. E-mail on website. Phone may be too. Did you see my truck on the website? Ayway. I was thinking about your two tone. Blue and silver is always a great combination. Classic colors and style with a modern flair.

but seriously, what is wrong with this scheme? whoever did it obviously likes it, so be it. and if you ask me. i think it's a photoshop. a very very good photoshop! but back to my origional statement, whoever drives it likes it, so let them be.
66yella 06-17-2006, 10:17 AM Clutch...that blue car is definitely not a photoshop. I had the chance to see it on the road in the Atlanta area a few weeks ago. The scheme is not for me and probably alot of other people...but it is their car. Not everyone will like everything about our cars. My car was painted last week and while I was there to check it out some guy who I don't know looked at me and said, "Why did you paint it THAT color?" I nicely told him when I paid the shop to paint it they were nice enough to let ME pick MY own color!
MidNite27 06-17-2006, 05:11 PM OMG what happened to that poor mustang??? I bet if u poor paint stripper on it it will look like an acid trip mustang.

Nah, that's not my wife. She looked at it and said, "In your dreams." :D
I would think either red and black, or dark gray and silver would be two good combinations.

tylerdru 06-18-2006, 01:06 AM Yeah the guy who owns it works at a junkyard. That is where I got the pictures from. Where exactly did you see this thing?

66yella 06-19-2006, 11:15 AM Hey Tyler...I saw that car in Lawrenceville on Hurricane Shoals behind the Walmart shopping center. I knew it was the car you posted the moment I saw it.

I change sigs periodically. I think I will give Jon Beast another try at a new one. This one was done awhile back by one of our members.
tylerdru 06-19-2006, 12:57 PM The junkyard was off of hurricane shoals. :D Most of the car was painted with a brush. [:'(]
66yella 06-19-2006, 01:02 PM It is definitely a one of a kind paint job so even if I saw it in Canada...I would have recognized it :D

Hey Anthony....does your neighborhood allow junk cars in the front yard? :D

well, the funny part is, if you look on the bottom right you can clearly see where my driveway is! had to park it in the front yard so the driveway could be done that day (it was gravel before) and the very next day the guys came to redo our lawn so they moved it into the driveway. it was funny cause i was sitting there working on my car in the yard and people would slow down by my house and stare at the driveway, look at me and kinda shake their heads!
