....boy, what a wait. Sure hoping it was worth all the time and $$$. The first ride will be my FIRST ride in any Saleen so keeping my fingers XX. Will post up once I drive it back from the dealership in NC (about 140 miles) a good test drive.
One thing to remeber on these, is the blower won't even be fully broken in til around 2-3k miles. It will be faster once it loosens up some, and you will probably see 1-2 psi more than brand new. So it needs a few miles to perform its best. Enjoy!

I'm new to the forum. I took delivery on my Extreme in April, screaming yellow #24. It has 500 miles on it now. I sold my 05 SC just before the Extreme arrived. I live in Mechanicsville. It's an awesome car. I currently have a clutch problem. The slave cyl (hydraulic clutch) is either defective or needs bleeding. I'm taking it in Monday.
Where are you located?

D@mn it....4stangs....thought I'd be the ONLY one in the area :)) I'm just down the road from you in Glen Allen. Drop an email and we'll get together and check out the rides. Got a '04 Black Viper convertible and a 600hp Jeep GC I drive on the strip. Sorry to hear about the clutch; hope it ain't contagious!!! My car just arrived at the dealership TODAY so I'm catching a bus for a 3 hour drive down to pick it up tomorrow....:))))
I'll send an e-mail. You ever been to the cruise-in at Brunetti's (sp) on Sat night? My wife and I are there often. Cars start rolling in around 4:00 and rolling out at dusk. Brunetti's is in a little shopping center at 301 and Atlee Rd (near 301/295). I'd like to meet ya and see that car.
Some poor photos in the garage but will take a few outside tomorrow......talk is usually cheap, BUT, they weren't kidding when they said this was EXTREME.....boy-o-boy.....I'm a lucky boy!!!!
I know its kinda early, but I was once thinking of getting a viper, z06, or extreme and went with the extreme. What are the pros and cons between the viper and extreme? Which one would you take if you could choose only one? Again, I know its kinda early since you haven't pushed the extreme yet, but any info would be appreciated.
Viper -vs- EXTREME? Totally different animals to drive. The Viper is the BEST car I've ever driven as far as looks, drivers position, view across the hood from drivers seat (feels like yer driving the Bat Mobile), shift position, handling, and easy clutch engagement. It truly is a "two finger" shifter. Drops down into gear at 80mph right into 3rd with no hesitation.
Now, the EXTREME is truly a muscle car. Aggressive to shift (but smooth), short shifts between gears, radical is every way. Not your "everyday" driver. The Viper truly could be used every day (I know, I put 10K on it this year alone).
If you want a beast blowing fire, get the EXTREME. If you want looks at every turn and a sweet, beautiful, fun, wind in your face topless vehicle, get the Viper. IF I HAD ONLY ONE CHOICE........(drum roll please).......I'd have to take the Viper. (sorry, wrong forum for this kind of talk).
Maybe my opinion will change over time, but I doubt it.
