I am currently in Finland, and I am a huge Kimi fan....so I am just hoping for Mclaren to remove their heads from their asses so Kimi can have a car to match his skill!

Looking into getting a mustang...
hey, Jenson won the last race! I can't wait to see Hamilton move up from GP2
As for American racing, my favorite class is the GARRA Daytona Prototypes, yeah, I know, not as technologically advanced or as fast ALMS P1 class, but 5 cars in a class does not really excite me. With 25 DP's racing head to head, the GARRA wins....
IRL and Champ Car need to merge NOW! Until then, neither will be good.

Notes from an old fart:
I've been following F-1 for years and was fortunate to be able to get up close and personal as a correspondent for Competition Press and Autoweek (now just Autoweek) during the late '60's while stationed with the USAF in Germany. I'd been there before, '58 - '62, and got to see some of the great old drivers wrestle those heavy monsters around. I missed Fangio's last year but did get to meet him later. The drivers then were real men, I don't think any of them went through any real physical training like the drivers today. The tracks and the cars were much more dangerous (an Elva F-C I owned and raced had a fibreglas seat which doubled as the fuel tank!) but they whaled away at it anyway despite the fact that the money was a laugh compared to todays purses and royalties. I'm not belittling todays drivers, they're just a totally different creature altogether. And Michael S. is hard to believe.
If there is any way you can finagle a trip to Europe there are several tracks that you can drive on. Several of them are still open roads closed for the events but some closed circuits sell lap tickets. In particular the old Nürburgring still has about 12 miles of the north circuit open and that's more than 150 curves and corners to get through. It has changed from the "Green Hell" it once was because most of the big forests it once ran through have been cut down but it is still a great drive....and a good place to hurt yourself badly if you get in over your head which is easy to do on many curves. My best lap was 10 minutes, 31 seconds and change in a MacNamara Formula Vee (1,300 cc VW) in '69 on the old circuit.
Good luck to any who can make the trip.
Being German, my dad born in Germany and moved here from Germany at age 16, huge Schumacher fan whole family is.
Alonso going to a different team, he's not going to win as many races. Sad to see Schumacher leave though, Ferrari f'ed him over though, a blown engine, then f'ed up tranny, somebody did him in, that does not happen to a 7 time champ, wiht the best racing team on this planet. Sorry, jus doesn't fit the puzzle. My dad was swearing up a storm the last race and was very angry at Ferrari.
Schumacher did the whole practice and 2 qualifying rounds with the same car, then it seems to want to have a f'ed up gear/tranny. Weird because it was fine, then someone tinkered with it to make it do that.
Just my 2 cents.
