I've heard that some people have experienced a "check engine" light once they have installed their X-pipe w/high flow cats.  Has this happened to anyone on this forum?  If so, how did you go about cancelling out?  I'm going to have a dyno tune & sport chip [brand to be named when I decide which I prefer] soon.  Will this get rid of that light if it should come on?  What about the headers?  I've a set of Bassani ML on order.

if you have the cats you should be ok. its the pipes w/o cats that trigger the check engine light, and require the MIL eliminators. i havent gotten around to getting them, was winning them on ebay for 35.00, forgot about them and in the last 5 min some punk outbid me.

Don't spend $35 on ebay.
They're only $29.95 from Pony Express.

I don't know what year your car is but generally you don't need to worry about it on pre-obdII vehicles. OBDII was mandated for MY96 and newer.

On my '01 Subaru I started throwing catylist inefficiency codes with just the header going into the stock cat - too much temp drop through the header (no heat shields). The problem didn't go away when I added a high flow cat. It wouldn't be a concern to me if my pocketlogger was working , but for some reason it refuses to connect to my car now.
