How much did it cost you guys (not including parts) to install new gears? I assume a T-lok could be installed at the same time but if that is extra, what about that too. I'm looking at a pretty good deal for 3.73 gears and a _-lok by ford racing and just wondering how much it would be to install 'em.

Hey Pat! I'm also considering the 3.73 gear switch. Where did you find good prices for the gears and T-lok?

I saw a listing on ebay for a used 3.73/ T-lok pulled from a wrecked car for $180. I'm a little leary of buying because the gears are used. May just go through RPM outlet, though another thread mentions some people having issues with Motive gears. I really just want the T-lok but figured I'd do both if the read diff is already cracked open.

Hey Cayuse..... www.rpmoutlet.com still has their package deal...I've been eyeing it for a couple of weeks now.....it'd the gears, tlok, and install kit for $355. Pretty good deal.

Here is the link.....it's in the middle right hand side of the page:

Paid $250 for the same setup installed, except I'd tossed the relocation bracket on myself.

I just asked my Ford Dealer Tech for a quote.
He told me @ 75/hr for 6-7 hours... 500ish?
He said that I also needed to find my own parts to install. (no prob)

I think I'll ask around...

The place I'll be using is a $300 install, so $700 total with parts.
