View Full Version : $Cost$ on gear install???
pat6674u 06-11-2006, 03:16 AM How much did it cost you guys (not including parts) to install new gears? I assume a T-lok could be installed at the same time but if that is extra, what about that too. I'm looking at a pretty good deal for 3.73 gears and a _-lok by ford racing and just wondering how much it would be to install 'em.
bztz4m 06-11-2006, 03:32 AM I asked about how much to install and was told 275.00
05 Cayuse 06-11-2006, 03:36 AM Hey Pat! I'm also considering the 3.73 gear switch. Where did you find good prices for the gears and T-lok?
I paid $300 to get my gears, TT, girdle and panhard bar relocation bracket installed.
pat6674u 06-11-2006, 03:51 AM I saw a listing on ebay for a used 3.73/ T-lok pulled from a wrecked car for $180. I'm a little leary of buying because the gears are used. May just go through RPM outlet, though another thread mentions some people having issues with Motive gears. I really just want the T-lok but figured I'd do both if the read diff is already cracked open.
chrisc 06-11-2006, 03:56 AM the ONLY place that would touch a 05/6 mustang in my area wanted 1k for the install w/o any parts
ricklmesa@cox.net 06-11-2006, 04:02 AM Bout $380 for mine to get installed

Paid $250 for the same setup installed, except I'd tossed the relocation bracket on myself.

You getting any TT noise yet? Mine is driving me friggin' crazy!
05 Cayuse 06-11-2006, 12:48 PM Thanks for the lead to RPM, I'll check them out.
chrisc 06-11-2006, 02:35 PM why is every where else so cheap compared to my place [sm=dontgetit.gif]
05BlackPony 06-11-2006, 02:40 PM I just asked my Ford Dealer Tech for a quote.
He told me @ 75/hr for 6-7 hours... 500ish?
He said that I also needed to find my own parts to install. (no prob)
I think I'll ask around...
JaysFreaky 06-11-2006, 05:08 PM The place I'll be using is a $300 install, so $700 total with parts.
Stewart 06-12-2006, 12:40 AM Mine were 400 for the install w/o parts.
