I caught him at a light around 12 last night & he rolled down his window and revved it slightly so I'd realize I was next to someone who wanted to go.

I told him I'll go to 70 and he said that's fine for him. The light turned green, I dropped the clutch at 3k which was alittle high because of the smooth & kinda greasy pavement we were on. I spun pretty hard and he just had a little chirp, I pulled good by the end of first - he was at my rear bumper. Shifted into 2nd and pulled away extremely fast, had to be around 2 car lengths already and getting into 3rd I noticed he gave up and was about 4 car lengths back. We came back around and went from a 20 mph roll since traction was such a big deal for me and I pulled away up to 70 so hard, had to be atleast 5-6 lengths on him.

I think if we had been on sticky pavement I would of hole-shotted him out by 2-3 car lengths just from the light and continued to walk him.

Yep.

In my Iroc with radials on it, from a set of lights I raped buddies 98 SS by 3-4 car lengths. THAT felt real good until 75 when he blew by me like I was on a skateboard.

the spec-V is pretty zippy for only having 175 stock, but nothing a 99+ GT couldnt make short work of, even stock. my car stock would be sweatin bullets, but with my mods i'm sure i can take one just as easily as a 99+. nice kill my man, he prob just wanted to see your hot ride in action.

a firehawk is a special edition of the firebird, tuned by SLP. the first ones came off the factory like 1992, with a rumored 6 to have 91 bin numbers. TPI 350, (L98 corvette engine) with 350 bhp and optional 6spd. 13.2 1/4 mile. over the years they have made a handful, a few LT-1's and the most recent, the 02 SLP Firelhawk. 335 bhp and 345 ft-lbs, 13.3 1/4. acording to the factory. Vfast, just about any LS1 owner will give you that look. mainly because it's so easy to get one in the 12's with simple bolt ons, and a good supercharger kit can get you in the 11's on a stock motor. low 11's. iv'e seen em. so get used to that look, you'll get it every time.  basically, the firehawk is the biggest, baddest, nastiest trans am ever built. kinda like an intimdator SS, or Berger SS, both built by SLP as well. some nasty LS1's, you best be running 12's to go after them.

Nope, the TTA is the nastiest Trans Am ever built. Watch out for those Turbo Trans Am's.

Turbocharged V6 capable of 13.0 stock. Close though!!

i would trade my stang in for a ram air trans am anyday, i love those cars.

but back to the spec v posting, i have a 98 gt auto i bought last month, still stock as i havent saved up money for any mods yet. and i smoked a se-r spec v, it was all ricey, side decals(50+ hp) intake, exhaust, i walked right on by him. it was great. first good race in the stang. im sure for a 99+ gt it is no problem

the TTA was rated at 250 hp, so 13 second 1/4 miles is obviously amazing for them. one hell of a powerplant, but of course, not as mean nasty sounding as a nice T/A. remember the old 93 T/A commercials? now THATS intimidation.

Well even though it was rated at 250, it only took about an afternoon and some sticky tires to get the 89 T TA's into the 12's. The little buick V6 is impressive, even w/o the turbo. Just not really impressive unless it has forced induction.
Same powerplant as the GN's.
*cough*

300 ft lbs of torque at 2400 RPM.

That's why they hauled so much ass stock.
