i couldnt race him. my wife was in the car and she was sayin u better not race u better not race. i was like come on just to like 60. she gave me the look and i knew i had to let it go he took off spun his tires and i had to sit there like a wimp oh well some other time. i couldnt tell what year it was but i know he was in my reach ill find him again.

unless you have a lot of mods, chances are he wasnt in your reach and your wife probably saved you from a really embarrasing moment. Reguardless of lt or ls1 I dont think you would have won. I can barely hang with them myself!

agreed. better wait till you get the rest of your mods on, then at least it will be close (unless it was the mullet type z28, you know the gen around with the fox's - what are those like 3rd gen camero's or what? can't remember - then you shoulda spanked him).

Yeah those z28 LS1 are pretty quick. The 3rd gen. camaro can be spotted in almost every trailer park in the country, mostly the berlinetta. LOL.

i dont know if it was an lt1 or ls1 it was a new body style somewhere after 95 i think. but we were messin around a lil before that dropin threw gears and he wasnt pullin on me. and when we he took off from the light he just didnt seem that fast. but anyway will never know maybe next time.oh yah whats the quater mile for z28 around 95 to present time thanks?

98LS1

93-97 F-body (includes TransAm's, not just CamAro's) = LT1
98-02 F-body (ditto) = LS1

The SS and WS6 package are just packages that you can have added to your car. It's not a whole engine upgrade, just minor things.

93-95 F-body = 13.8-14.2 depending on who's driving. I went 13.8 with just a cut out in my '95 TA.

96-97 F-body = nearly the same as above, they have 10 more hp and have dipped into the 13.6 range but it's not usual.

98-02 F-body = anywhere from 12.9-13.7, as usual it depends on who's driving. Typically you'll see them run mid 13's with an average driver.

I looked at his mod list and couldn't figure out why you guys were saying he would have had trouble with an LT1.

Since they're all on they're way...You probably should have left it alone. An LT1 won't cream you though. There is a guy down there street here in the industrial park with an Auto '96 Z28, I pound him all the time. We've caught the light a few times.
