The number one spark plug wire. There are a million threads concerning timing advance, but most people say start at 10 deg.

Alright, I bought the car not too long ago and this is the first time i've gone in depth to it, it looks like the timing is at 20 degrees, there is no ping, and I even had a couple of friends look at it too and they say the same thing, should I try turning it down to avoid any engine problems or just leave it?
Don't forget to remove the SPOUT connector when you're checking the timing.
Look for a removable connector right where your distributor is. Unplug that, set your timing, then replace the connector before driving.
Adjusting your timing without unplugging this will not be good, as your computer will just reset things where it thinks it should be. Unplugging the SPOUT disconnects the computer while you're adjusting the timing.
