I got to race a stang & modded MR2 turbo, not sure the year though. I had one of my friends with me & we heard a loud "shhhhhhhhh" from somewhere. I kept going straight on the same road till we found the car, a red MR2 turbo. I followed it & got to a red light. He reved his engine a little, then i did. Lights turned & we were both off. 1st gear got done & we were like half a car ahead of him, then 2nd & we were about 2 cars ahead & I let off. The guy got next to me & gave me the thumbs up, as did I, then i turned off & found myself next to around an '01 stang gt convertable. So we raced that on the way back. He was a little slower than the MR2. I stopped around 60mph & we were around 3 cars ahead. He gave me the thumbs up too. I'm on the lookout for some vettes & an 03 svt cobra. I want to race both of them bad. I hope I dont let ford down on that one.

i wouldnt go hunting vettes and 03 cobras with those mods, what do you run in the 1/8th? it says "low 8's" in the cardomain thing but im having trouble believeing this......
yeah.. not to be rude but if you're hunting vettes or even a '03 cobra you're looking for an @$$ whoopin'. Let us know how bad the spanking is as soon as you get it. lol.

So let me get this straight.....You have a 89 GT....and you beat a 01 GT? What mods do you have? I hope you don't come on here and say something stupid like your running a cold air intake and exhaust...because if you do then i'm gonna let you know that your lying.....Honestly it's gonna take a some kind of power adder for your Heavy 89 GT to gain that second or so it needs to beat a 99+ GT. So if you would fill me in on the mods....

So far only. Mac unequal headers, Mac 2.5 exhaust, GT40P intake manifold, x cam, K&N intake filter, 4.10 rear end, some little fuel mods, & timing is advanced as far as it would go on 93 octane before knocking. & Yea I'm already pretty sure they are going to beat me, but it'll let me see how far off I am. I have no clue what I run in 1/4th. In 1/8 it's at 8.14 is lowest out of 2 runs.

8.14...omg?!. how did you get enough traction to pull off that time. please tell me you used full slicks. my buddy bill pulls 8.2 on DR's and runs 12.4 in the 1/4. i run 8.1 and get high 12. what set-up ddo you have? please share.

No slicks, it was almost bald 8" street tires. Don't they spray your strip down? Our's has some sticky stuff they spray down the track. The tires do spin, but not much. My car isnt that good from the 0-1000 rpm range with the timing advanced alot.

yea dude, umm ive ridden in auto fox's before, and they are dog slow. i have similar mods to you and i dont run no 8.1, and i have a 5 spd with gears.....

Well if he is runnin 8.1's he can hang with stock Cobra's, and he can really beat up on alot of other cars! I have gotten a 5.0 to run low 12's with 3.55's, a 5 spd, lightened quite a bit (not full interior like his) X cam AFR heads, headers, and an RPM intake with bigger injectors. I cant remember how much bigger, its been awhile, I think it was 36 or 38's. Also a 70MM TB, Southside Machine bars and some ET streets.
Also did a blown 5.0 Vert that ran very low 12's with 4.10's, TKO, Paxton 6psi, Edelbrock heads, Comp Cams Extreme Energy 284, RPM intake, 75MM TB, and Roller Rockers from Crane. It was a 3500 lb car, so it had a disadvantage from the start. Also he couldnt drive really well and I never got to make a pass in it, but it stayed right with my car, just a bit back on the street.

It was modded a little bit. Actully, If you want, I could go get some pictures of it & ask whats done to it. It looks pretty nice & the guy seemed pretty cool. When he drove by he gave me the thumbs up & said "nice car"

Well Good kill... .. Street racing is differnt then at the track so things do happen. Driver does play apart and also if you have that much HP and can hook up then your doing good. ehehhehe i bought a LX for 650 bones man and this coupe looks ruff. But last night i killed a couple of cars a 3rd Gen Maro and a Talon. Was fun!! My buddy has a 2002 WS6 he was out with me . His car is just plain crazy , he has a ATI procharger that aint hooked up yet but when it is watch out. Reason the ATI isnt running is cause we just did a rebuild on his motor and he wants to break in the motor really good before he hooks it up. With the tune and all.But anyways my new LX is a 4 cyl conversion and weights 2860. And let me tell ya this car is really quick compared to my 91 GT. And my 91 has mods from heads to intake ,etc. I have alot of videos but i havent figured out how to post them yet here or on another site.His WS6 was running 11.6 before the bearing went south. We think hell be in the 10s with the ATI. But like i said good kill.. hey did you do a dyno or you just guessing?

the 330hp was an estimate based on 4 people's quotes: 1)"well over 300" 2)"around 340" 3)"320-330" 4)"Dude, I'm getting one of these!" but have you tried turning your distributor all the way to the radiator hose & running 93 octane w/ octane boost? It's like a night/day difference. I can turn it away from the hose & it feels like 150-170hp & turn it up to the hose & it feels like 340-360hp unfortunetly, I can't run it that high & afford the gas & octane boost. Can't tell for sure though until a dyno test. I'll let you know if I get it tested
