I installed a MRT axleback about a month ago it was really loud and gave me a lot of resonation vibration in the passanger compartment. I installed a aero turbine resonator which toned down the sound some (sounds really good) but I still have the vibration. It vibrates the crap out of something in the dash when accelerating at about 1900 to 2000 rps. I also had the muffler shop put the damper off of the stock muffler on to the MRT but it didn't stop the dash rattle. Does anybody else have this problem an if so how do you get rid of it short of throwing the muffler away and starting over.
I dont think you shold have a problem cause your going with a single axle back, I went with the Dual Exhaust with H-pipe and MRT mufflers! So I think you should be fine, I changed Alot!
No it's metal under the dash somewhere. Question for Justin R what kind of resonators do you have? One muffler guy says it might help with resonator thats bigger than the Aero Turbine one that I have, but I don't want to spend anymore money on a might!! Another muffler guy told me to throw the MRT away it's a piece of crap unless your running in NASCAR.
just got it in from UPS man i unpack it and wow it looks so awsome that is going 2 be one nice sound i am telling you the MRT axleback looks so bad ass uhhhh i cant wait 2 install it tomorrow morning now i know why the car vibrates hehehehe :)
oh man I just got to many mental images on what you could have done with it...If my wife complains about me not being able to get it up tonight I'm sending you a nasty mesage LMAO

heheheh funny ok well its the final day and i have my MRT here in my house so i am gething ready 2 install it the shop is opening at 10 and now is 7:30 am ahhhh cant wait will post the results soon
There is a TSB for dash rattle, I will have to try to find it. Anyway, it simply involves taking two 4" stainless radiator clamps and attaching them over the transmission bracket/exhaust pipes. It took me like 15 minutes to do and was cheap so I figured why not.
Thats why I went with Magnaflow. Nice deep sound and doesn't vibrate anything. Ofcourse MRT probably puts out more HP but for commuting I need something mellow :-)
You have the single magnaflow? Cause I heard that the dual magnaflow kit for the V6s have the magnapack mufflers and supossibly they drone alot, but now theres a new kit that comes with an x pipe.
