Did you guys both pull over on your own, or did he call for another car to pull both of you over?? I would think he could only get one, not both!!!! Next time I see ya, the malt/shake/sundae, whatever you want at Oscars is on me buddy!!!
Think again buddy, I'm not trying to be a d*ck so dont think that, . Anyways, me and my wife were cruisin on the interstate at about 85 (speed limit is 70), we werent racing just cruisin to the house, she just got off work. Out of nowhere thiis State Trooper pulls onto the interstate from an embankment, I guess he was runnin radar and was getting ready to move somewhere else, and as he was pullin out me and my wife slowed down to about 75, but too late, he already clocked us. He passed me and got behind her, so I thought he got her, so as she is pullin over, he pulls onto the interstate and blocks the interstate so I have to slow down, and finally I just pull over. He reduced the ticket to $100.00, it was $225.00 I believe and he did that because my wife said that I was gonna have to work overtime to pay the tickets, that wasnt true, but it worked. And then after I told him I worked for the Sheriffs Office he extended the date we had to pay it and lowered each one another $50.00, so 2 tickets for 15+ over the limit and the total was only $100.00.
The dickwad still gave you a ticket after finding out you worked for the Sheriffs office? What a prick. I've got a buddy who's a County Mounty confinement officer and a volunteer for a fire department.
New Haven/Fort Wayne City cops won't mess with him. Sheriffs won't mess with him and State won't mess with him at all. They let him pass through a seatbelt check point when they pulled him for not wearing it after he showed his ID.
Your friends pretty lucky, if I get pulled over by a county officer, I wont get a ticket, and some city officers wont give me tickets, just depends who they are. I aint really important at work, so most city and state officers dont know me, I just sit in an office and answer the phones and radio, enter reports and stuff like that. I run drivers license' and tags, so if your ever coming through this part of TN and get pulled over, I might be runnin you for warrants and drivers license info. LOL

you know whats funny, i actually agree with 2000si, he did the crime, now he should face the music. pay the fine, get on with life, lesson learned. no boohoos here from me either.
its funny, if i posted something about getting a ticket for racing, i know i woulda got my @$$ chewed out. hell me and mr twigbert tried to argue with me the other day about me getting arrested for doing absolutely nothing and winning in a court case. funny thing is, twigbert is only 17 years old, meaning you cant even buy ur own car nor can u legally vote yet. 2000si is right, if dan04cobra posted "its your fault, that was ur stupidness" everyone would have been like ohh yeah dan is right. its funny how people pick on 200si just cuz he has a civic.

Civic Si's are cool, LOL I didnt know this "Twigbert" fellow was only 17, hes still got alot to learn when it comes to the rules of the road. Wait til he gets a few tickets and see how he comes along and b*tches. Now I'm not trying to start anything, and I'm not sayin he would come on here and b*tch about it, but I'm saying if he did this whole sinario would be different.
Thats good to know. I really dont mind the job and pay here, but sometimes midnight shift can be boring, especially when theres hardly anybody on MF. I like it that I can find any previous criminal history of anybody and find out what type of car they have and stuff like that, but sometimes it gets old. Its been so quiet here tonight, I've answered the phone 1 time, and it was my Cpl. checkin local warrants on someone. BORING

haha damn...
I was gonna try to get into the police department after high school but I just lacked the motivation to actually work out. Never thought about becoming a dispatcher.
But I know from the job that I have now, if I had a desk job of any sort I would be bored out of my freakin skull. I'm out and about around town all damn day through the week. It's nice to not be in one spot from one day to the next.

I would never take a dispatcher job. Too much communication going on all the time. I've always had the passion for law enforcement, I took 3 years of Criminal Justice in HS, and my 3rd year it was a college credit, just never went to college, LOL. My job title is "Records Clerk", I'm actually trying to get into booking, as a Deputy, a $2.00 raise and I get to mess with all the crazy drunks and psychos that come into jail.

LOL you'd get a kick out of the stories my friend tells us of how he ****s with the inmates.

Probably, my sister in law has been working in the jail for about 5 years now, and she has tons of stories to tell, and they are quite funny. She was also off work for about 6 months because there was a big fight between 3 inmates and deputies, and one of the inmates almost broke her and her friends leg, but hey I'd take 6 months off paid. LOL
Hell yeah! I would too. And here I'm just awaiting my one weeks worth of paid vacation that's coming up on June 11th.
I hope you enjoy them. I get 25 paid days off each year. 13 for vacation and 12 holidays. I'm using 6 of them the end of this week into next week, going to Vegas for honeymoon.

Come on 2000si, tell everyone who has connections that they shouldn't be using those to get out of tickets!!!! They did the crime, they should do the time right??

Yeah, but who am I to tell the police officer who might run his tags after clocking him doing 30 over what to do?
It's just common courtesty among police officers, you don't want to go making your fellow officer mad by writing him a ticket now do you?
You know, I don't own a fast car or anything, but I would cry if I got cought street racing, especially having a CDL and perhaps having it taken away. It'd cost thousands in lawyer fees/court cost/fines to get out of it.
I wish ya the best of luck Yellow, and, perhaps you learned your lesson. I know I still have a hard time resisting a race when the guy next to me is all for it....
Hate to see you get a ticket; but look at it another way and it will make you feel better. We have had so many fatalities here in Florida from street racing, that where I live, the police have started taking the racer's cars - permanently. Now you are lucky for three reasons: 1. You didn't kill anybody yet, 2. You don't live here, 3. You still have title to your car (or is it the bank's?).
Stay safe!

I'm just smart enough to not get caught the MAYBE once every 4 months I do race.
He knew the consequences, he got caught. I have every right to laugh at him. It's not my problem he did something that he knew was against the law.
Compassion? **** that. For all we know he could have run over a family coming home had he not been pulled over. Yeah I've done stupid **** - so don't throw that angle at me. But I've never done ANYTHING on the road that was worth 6 points on my license.
Run over a family? Give me a break. Listen, all I'm saying is not to laugh too hard or you may end up being the one that gets caught while you are "just smart enough to not get caught" when you race MAYBE once every 4 months.
im too smart to get caught speeding...in fact, im writing a book about it. then whoopty-do, i get a ticket last month for "80" in a 65 during the 2 minutes of the drive that i was ACTUALLY GOING the speed limit. the rest of the time i was going 110...
im still writing the book tho lol, and appealing the ticket with a vengeance cuz i was NOT going 80

Honestly, what is everyone mad about, if you speed and you get caught, than dont be mad you gotta ticket. I am a military police officer, and some of the excuses i get are crazy. i am not gonna make some excuse if i get caught speeding because i was!! I am not gonna say stop street racing, cuz people have been doing it since there were cars, people want that adreneline rush sometimes (myself including). so dont get mad at the police when you get caught. just stop if you dont want the possibility of a ticket.
