Well, sorta anyway. I did a several step process utilizing it and was farely impressed with the results. First I washed, clay-barred, polished using Meguiars professional swirl remover, then used Turtle Wax ICE, and then finished up with some Meguiar's NXT. I noticed a immediate difference with just the ICE, it really made the paint look wet and gave it lots of depth and clarity. Then I sealed it all up with the NXT and added a touch of gloss with that as well. Overall I've been farely impressed with it. Very easy to apply and to remove. No residue either!

Although I'm a bit confused to its actual purpose. It says it's a polish but also says it's a wax? Also it worked very well on the exterior vinyl/plastic black trim. Kind of nice to not have to change products to achieve a full exterior shine.

Only thing I'd do differently is start with a bit heavier compound to remove some of the prevelant surface scratches in my paint. It's an 04 but I have no clue as to what the hell the previous owner did to it...... but it's better. But not great yet. No pics, but around sunset it almost makes it look like I have a redish-orange candy coat on my car... Basically it's sex!

I used TW ICE on my 1 day old 06 GT. (today), and I'll will never use anything else ever again, (unless something comes out better)

What easy apply and take off, and the finish was supreme. I love the fact of no residue, and not worrying about getting it on the vinyl and black trim. I've never seen a wax do that.


It's worth every penny. I told 3 friends, and they are all gonna buy some. BEST product out there.

So if I just decide to wash my car and apply a coat of the TW Ice will it looks good. I think that I might just do that for the car show on the 4th.

I agree. TW Ice is pure joy to work with. I bought a bottle of this and used it today on my wife's MDX before trying it on my Saleen. Both cars are silver, hers being a big MDX I was not looking forward to waxing it. The TW ICE was so easy to apply and buff I was astonished. Looks great too. The biggest bonus is no worries about getting white residue on plastics. The official ICE website even says to use it on all trim including black plastic for a uniform gloss.

I'm looking forward to using it on my Saleen next.

+1 on ICE. Love it. Love the fact that you can use it on the trim, light covers, etc.....Did both cars yesterday. Never seen anything bring out the metal flake like ICE...

ICE is good but personally i wouldn't use instead of wax. i just use it in between waxes.

I just "tried" to wax the car with ice but after fighting streaks on the hood and one side I quit and changed waxes. I still have oily streaks on the one door after wiping it down a wet MF towel then using a quick detailer. I can only decribe it as infuriating.

No more ice for me. I'll keep it just to do mouldinig type parts but no more paint. Maybe its just black that makes the streaks more apparent. Mothers Synwax was the worst streaking one until I used the ICE.

I should have gotten the hint when there are "in case of streaks" instructions on the ICE bottle. It says to rewipe the car with a wet MF cloth then buff out. I tried diffent ways. Thick, thin, leave on , wipe off immediately; nothin'. I used the applicator that came with the bottle.

sounds like your usin to much, u really hardly have to use any, if i add a little to much then i will get problems like you, with it being harder to buff out without streaks, but go really light with it and i think you will be happy. Although does anyone know if this stuff protects your car. It gives it a nice shine but im wondering about the UV protection and bugs and what not.

Right on their website it says that it has "light stablizers to protect your car's finish from the sun's damaging UV rays"
I finally tried the stuff out for myself, and I own a black car, did it in direct sunlight too (which I never ever do) I was pretty impressed. My dad couldn't get over the shine. He didn't think there would be that much of a difference on my car, since it already looked awesome, but alas it looked ever better, made the plastic look great too, I even put a coat on my tires, then my rims for the hell of it - both look good

I tried it this weekend... didn't do anything "good" for me, but my car's 8 years old. It might be fine for cars in better shape.

It says it's a polish, but I didn't see any polishing going on. How long does the UV protection last? Longer than my SPF 40 sunscreen, I hope. But I figured I had to try it.

While I did apply it to various trim bit and while it didn't turn the trim chalky, it didn't make it look very good at all -- I usually use a rejuvenator (Mothers Back-to-Black). In fact, some of my rubber trim just smeared all over the silver paint, so I would have been better off detailing the trim separately as I usually do.

I noticed the package said something to the effect of if you need polishing or to remove oxidation (can't remember), that you need that, so it's not really magic.

I'll stick with my traditional products -- not something clear that smells of solvent and feels like a vinyl dressing -- yet does nothing for my trim or for polishing my paint.

tried it and still use it in between good coats of mothers pure caranuba. ice works well just not as good at physical protection (ie. bugs... small pebbles.) noticed several bugs are tougher to get off of ICE treated areas as opposed to Mothers areas.

I'm gonna have to try it... Maybe this afternoon, if i get my azz off the computer.. :D

I tried ICE myself this week. Three different cars. My mustang and my work car ('90 Acura integra) are both white. My wife's car ('06 Saab 9-3) is gray. I had what I'd consider positive results on all three cars. I think the thing to keep in mind with this product is that it is NOT a typical auto wax, at least using the traditional laymans definition. I worked as a pro detailer for a short time in my younger days. For my personal stuff I've always been just a standard carnuba (no cleaner) type of guy. The Ice goes on and comes off differently than what I'm used to. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I think the cleaner you keep a car (weekly washes, monthly waxes, detail bugs off quickly, etc...) the better results you'll have with most stuff.

The jury is still out in my case. I did have some streaking on the darker car but it cleared up when it sat overnight. If the ICE does half of what it claims to do it's worth the $15 I paid. I'm not throwing out my Carnuba yet though.

Not too impressed with ICE, it seems to make the trim look a little better. I have a month old car and I could not tell a difference in the shine at all. It also seems to make the car have static cling. I did one side of the car and went to the other and came back to the first side and it had picked stuff off the ground on the rocker panels. I was inside too, so no wind to blow stuff up on it.

Hmm, all these reponses makes me think twice now about trying out the TW ice,,, I use the Meguires NXT and it does a really good job, but am always open to new stuff,, but i think i'll stay away ffrom the TW and stay with the NXT!!!
