I'd like to think its me turning heads but I really think its the car. Yesterday driving home from work, a member of the opposite sex (in my case a guy) pulls up next to me and says 'beautiful car, it really caught my eye'. I haven't even done any exterior mods. I had a 2000 Mustang GT for 5 years and got a lot of looks but this car gets 'stares'. Even the people working at the dealership stare at it and they see Mustangs all the time. I even had a customer at the dealership banging on the window as I was getting in my car and giving me a 'thumbs up'.
I've only had the car for a couple months so I hope this is just the beginning...
Anyone have similiar stories to share?

Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I haven't gotten a single look over yet. Then again, living in DC there are enough of them around. Maybe once I get some mods in it will get more attention.
it happens, these stangs are a attentions getter. people rubber necking as you drive by, thumbs up. went to a concert at the fox theater last week and in the parking garage a guy asked a bunch of questions. being a proud owner i was happy to answer them all.
I definitely get quite a few looks driving around...might also be because I'm 24 driving around in a brand new 06 mustang gt. Too old to where people would suspect my parents bought it, but too young to be able to afford it without a kick ass job. My secret lies in Ford's X-plan, that really helped out alot.

How did you get the X Plan. I was told by a few dealers that Ford wouldn't allow this on the Mustang and that not even employees could get their discount. You mean I was lied to??? Dealers don't do that do they?
Pretty cool eh? Been enjoying the attention for over a year now ! Can't wait to get my supercharger installed to not only get the looks but have more guts as well ! !
Just last night driving home from picking my daughter up from volleyball practice this guy in a Dodge truck comes flying up on my ass which pisses me off then he swerves over into the other lane flies by me, next thing i know he slows down rolls his window down stick his hand out the window and give the Thumbs Up. So i catch up to him at the next stop light and got to pull up next to him and he is just staring at the car and gives me a double thumbs up.

I got my 06' black GT Vert on the Z plan (X plan for ford employee's and family members, Z plan for retirees and family memebers) from the factory a couple of months ago, it really cut the dealer hassle and price. No problem and great deal but generally the 05' stangs were "off the list" for this when they first came out in 04 thru 05 because of the demand.
