Well, me and the Mrs went out to the weekly Sat. night meet to hang out. Had some friends meet us there. One has a KB '03 Cobra and another has a geared, bolt on, full exhaust '03 Mach 1. The Cobra guy was looking for a race, so I saw another bud of mine with an '02 H/C/I nitroused Z06.
We set up the race between the Cobra and the Vette from a 50 punch. I decided to go at the Mach 1 to see how I could do. The Mach runs consistent mid 12's.
We got out on the highway and watched the Cobra and the Z06 run first. First run, the Vette had the Cobra by 3 cars. The second run the Vette was ahead by at least 2 cars.
So, now it was my turn with the Mach. First run, I got a good jump and was ahead by about 2 1/2 cars. The second run, he jumped the hell out of me by about a car. By the top of 3rd, I was reeling him in and by 4th, I was 2 cars ahead and pulling. I was so happy. It's the first time I have driven the silver bucket hard since my wreck. It felt so good.

nice kill and sounds like some good races. I LOVE it when I get my car back. If I was on vacation or working on it for awhile, it feels amazing. I can only imagine waiting that amount of time and then getting in your car.

I was SO excited. Like I said, this is the first race since getting back in my car with my final race tune. The lil GT was really strong and surprised the hell out of the Mach.
