ORIGINAL: TJ Jimp I could be wrong but my understang is a V6 driveshaft won't work with a 8.8 rearend which is what is in Mikes car.
Well I talked to Mike about a replacement driveshaft and he said they are still using the stock V6 driveshaft. He was very clear about this. So i guess it does work.
Ok got it thanks (checked my info) but looks like you have to modify it a little first according to this guy who dropped in a 8.8 in his 05 Mustang S197 see quote below.
“The stock drive shaft will work but it involves changing the diff yoke from the CV style to the old hub style from the SN95 mustangs..”
Ok I have only rarely wanted something more than I want this. Have to play with numbers and see budget wise. I want this, but I'm not gonna charge it, only going to get it if I can do it from savings and what not.
Fazm when do you need to know for sure who is a yes?
Ry and 13 Congrats you guys kick ass

I'm not having fun anymore, cya later on. Take care.
What if any problems would you run into keeping it single exhaust? I really like the sound I get from my Ford Racing muffler and think it opened up the exhaust quite a bit. I'd really like to be able to have that much power and still look stock!

Quicksilver. in answer in your question yes you will end up losing some hp. with F/I ESPECIALLY a turbo you want NO backpressure as opposed to our 6ers with bolt ons need some back pressure for low end torque. but duals would be preferrable.
Thanks everyone. Robert and I were amazed at the power these cars put down. Unfortunately it was too crowded on the high way to safely get a video. I will work on that tomorrow and/or Tuesday and post asap.
We also need to get exhaust clips, the turbo changes the sound. Our mufflers actually growl more!!!!
Now for some pics, just took them, enjoy:
Also, I found a place to test the hard launch up in Erie near Powerhouse. Well, lets just say I have to learn to launch all over again. My car broke loose on 1 st and then again on 2 nd on the same launch!!!! This is with 275’s on the rear.
The power is insane!!

ok so now that I wanna get this turbo are there any cool gauge pods and gauges that I could get and also what other stuff would I need other that some kind of TT/gears?
I got the autometer A pillar with autometer gauges. I plan to add a air flow wide band in the next week or two. Powerhouse already prepped the car for it. I just put up pics of the gauge, enjoy.

ORIGINAL: TJ Got it thanks It also looks like it doesn't have the vac operated outside flap on WOT but i think if I remember correctly that might of been only on the 70 Chevelle SS for the flap which I did also own one.
Really? Cool. I had an SS 396 350HP. Never should have gotten rid of that car. Man, I'll always regret that.
Wow!!! I bet you kick yourself everytime you think about that one.

congrats guys, be very happy with your new found hp, hopefully you wont have to answer the doubter questions, here they are just so you can be ready, LOL
1- are you sure it was a mustang dyno? 2- when was their dyno calibrated last? 3- are they corrected numbers ? 4- can I get a free one ? 5- can you post a dyno sheet? 6- can you go get a dyno on a dynojet so we can compare?
@ Rygen, will be lookin forward to all your good results, sounds like you will be getting noticed at the track even more,
@ screaming, we have seen too many surprises from you, we'll be watching for the Mistress's latest surprise as well.
results seem to be getting better for this 4.0 all the time, a big thanks to all the guys who have risked their cars and opened their wallets to test some of these new mods so we could see the results! kudos to you.
1. Yes 2. Don't know 3. Yes 4. It wasn't free, we paid for the units and got free install so they can finalize the instructions 5. I will once I get a chance, I always follow through on my dyno sheet and time slip posts 6. Yes, I will be putting it on a dyno jet

Oh yeah. It was in really good shape too. I had the money to do it up right though. Grr. That's the worst thing i've ever done. Ah well.

I'm sold as far as the powerhouse turbo goes. If someone is going to do a group buy, count me in.
They will ship to CA, right? I'll need to find someone to do the install (unless it's something I can do...... riiiiiiiiiiiiight.........).
So we're looking at around $4500 for everything? Then another $1000 or so for installation?
I'm not sure if its CA legal, I think it's 49 state legal. But I'm sure they will ship you one if you buy it. I would give them a call or email them about it.

Maybe Rygen can chime in here but AFAIK, Mike Bowen is running a single exhaust still. And he's running 11s. From what I've heard, a dual exhaust is not needed.

Correct, a dual (thanks Jimp!...been a long day) is not needed and from the look of the kit, easier on the install. A install with duals requires another Y pipe, and depending on what exhaust pipes you have (for duals) and mufflers, it may require some...tweaking. I would give Mike a call about dual exhaust.
And yes, the V6 is running 11's consistently.
