Nice kill. I'm really surprised you beat him, and by how much you beat him. Those things usually run low 14's stock, and auto GT's usually run mid 14's stock. And from a roll those things are usually deadly, but nice kill none the less.

How did you beat a SRT-4 with under 260whp?

I belive you took him from a dig but from a roll I don't think so. Both cars have about the same whp but the SRT-4 weighs much less and has top end and more high rpm pull vs a GT.

i dont doubt that he could beat an older, stock srt4...

one problem with the SRT4 is the regular lack of the good driver mod...much like the cobalt ss people...

bad drivers buy cheap cars.

what the? lol

I believe it, he's got 4.10s and a few accompanying modifications. That and he's tuned.

These cars are drivers races in stock form, who knows what the SRT4 had done to it... might not have had anything.

I just can't believe I saw a Mustang guy calling BS on a Mustang beating an SRT4... lol

I'm not saying I dont believe it, I'm just saying from experience and me owning a GT with an automatic, I cant believe he won from a roll. I've raced a couple SRT 4's from rolls and got beat by about 4 cars up til about 90 from 40. I've never had the priviledge of racing one from a dig. I just think it would take more than a few bolt ons and a tune to beat one by 3 or 4 cars from a roll. From a dig I think he could probably beat one by a couple of cars. An SRT 4 being a 14.0-14.2 second car, I think with his mods and tune he could be low 14's too.

Yeah your right about the numbers, and I believe stock, GT's put down about 230-235, and SRT 4's put down about 210 or alittle more, and SRT 4's can beat GT's. Hell, I've raced a 92 5.0 GT in my Celica GTS and I beat him. He has what, 225hp, compared to my 180, but I only weigh 2500lbs in my Celica. Yeah hp does make a difference in races, but when a car weighs over 3,000lbs and another weighs 2500 or so, that makes more of a difference. Aint it, every 100lbs is like .1 seconds?

What proof do you need to see? THe guy wasted a srt4 in a nicley modified gt....srt4s are quick but they aint that fast.

Your right too, but an automatic GT with a few bolt on's beating an SRT 4 from a roll, and by like 3 cars, thats a bad driver mod. Not taken anything away from the GT, since I own one myself, but hey, a win is a win.

SRT-4's actually put down 220-230HP at the wheels, the 2004+ will be on the higher end of that scale since they had the better ECM.

To bad 249 RWHP is considered a nicely modded Mustang.
