Hey a buddy found a link to the usatoday page that mentioned the anonymous Kzinti/Blueovalforums-

http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2005-06-27-mustang-usat_x.htm

theres a 'contact us' link on their site, and the writers name is on there...I sent an email asking them to forward to her, with links to the blueoval poll, and here, asking if they think maybe its worth a followup- might lure a bunch more mustangers to our forums too- the more the merrier right? if any of you guys get a chance, please do the same if you get a sec, it would be good exposure for the forum and couldnt hurt drumming up more supporters to yak at Ford about getting K back online - heres a link to send them a message:

http://feedbackforms.usatoday.com/marketing/feedback/feedback-online.aspx?type=12

the authors name was Sharon Silke Carty.

AND where did you get you MBA ?

110 years ago yesterday Henry Ford drove the 1st one. FORD has been around a long time, and will continue.

Not trying to start a war here as I have been a Ford customer for over 20 years and intend on ordering a 2007 Mustang GT.

With that said, the 110 years ago is the problem, or the thinking that will sink a business quicker then one could think.

It don’t matter what Ford did 110 years ago or even 10 years ago. It matters today what Ford does and what direction they take. It’s Ford’s game to lose and they are not doing so good, not as good as they could be.

Ford has a ton of competition just ready to take over Ford’s market share and it won’t be that hard to do. Neither would it be for Ford to take away other auto manufactures market share. The competition is just as good, if not better in some cases, as Ford so Ford has no right to even assume for a minute they will remain in business just because they have been around for 110 years.

All that matters today is quality and customer services. If Ford don’t get on the ball with both they may not see their 125th anniversary…

NOPE you guys are all wrong!! (I think)

They are shutting down vrap in KC. I bet 10 on the dollar he works at Vrap, as it says he works at "kansas city assembly) They are starting to lay off and shut down production.

99.99 percent chance this is the deal.

I dunno if VRAP has told the people that work there yet they are fuxored, but all the vendors know, and that is the reason my plant was told we are shutting down (no longer need a plant in the midwest to supply VRAP cause VRAP is dead)

maybe...who knows. Still with enough BUYERS suggesting Ford get him 'officially online' I hope he'll be back- was a great idea, I sure feel I owed him a lot- I only 'almost' went nuts waiting on mine (twice). So how many wrote? anyone want their direct emails?

yeah...I tend to jump to conclusions a bit- but if you followed the way Kzinti posted, I still feel certain that he was shutdown- otherwise he woulda said why. I do doubt it woulda been too high up, more likely plant level or lower. if enough folks tell the big guys how great his service was, I think they'll hear us out, and move him where he can do more for ford.

I kinda get the feeling that ford doesn't want alot of people telling how they are laying off and shutting down though.

Dunno, but it seems like a awful conicedence.

Well, I finally got a reply back from someone at ford- asking for a phone number. Spent 25 minutes on the phone with one of Mr Giombetti's associates, they LIKE feedback, said yeah, seems like would be a good thing for customers- I mentioned about the guy that said his vinned 05 never got built- suggested to have K run the number, and here dealer had traded it off...figured that type of thing might make some dealers against- but whose car is it- and he agreed fully if it was his ordered car he'd want to know the truth too... nice guy- even said if I ever needed help tracking, to keep his number, he would be glad to help out- very cool.

closing he promised to submit my email, and letter to folks that could look into it- with links to the blueoval poll/other sites...if even a few more letters get thru and passed upstream maybe they'll take notice- at least they are circulating the idea a little bit

funny, getting ahold of anyone at ford is nearly impossible but if you do, theyre all as concerned as you'd like to think they should be- hopefully communication will continue to get more customer friendly, and Ford can bounce back.

if you guys havent written, please do so- pm if you want email addresses.
ACSteele and I are the only ones to post hearing anything back from Ford- are we the only ones who wrote in?

THANKS for the update ford4v429....

I was just speaking about the K-Man over the weekend during a discussion / debate as to which company would fail first.... Ford of GM.

and you guess it.... I felt that Ford is trying really really hard to drive all it's customers away! ... No customers = no Ford.

I've sent a few letters off.... have you?

have you heard anything back yet Prof? might be a while as I sent on the 12th, got reply at very end of the month...

heres another interesting thread from a dealer who happens to be buying his own personal car:

http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?p=691852#post691852

he's not to thrilled with customer service either- yet hes got dealer access to info...its really sad.

I don't understand ANY of the hoopla you are all worked up about over this Ford employee who was wasting time sending out company data to the public.

The bottom line here is a bunch of people are freaking out because they had to wait for their custom-ordered Mustang. So what?

There are thousands of Mustangs sitting on Ford lots all over the country, and they are all available right now, and are available in a myriad of options and colors.

What a big freaking waste of forum posts over this non-issue. Email Ford? Write Ford? WHY? Sheesh...

Well Cobrafan...

All I can say, is I feel you must have got your car "Off the Lot" and recieved your "Instant gratification".

Many of us here with 05's and 06's Ordered our cars.. and let me tell you that the Ordering process is hell, and the communcation setup for information from Ford in a word "SUCKS".

this guy recognized the problem and had a solution. and for that, he got banged!

such is life.... were over it...

What I don't understand, is why you posted such a strongly negitive post.... did you have a bad day today or something? With such a BEAUTIFUL car I would have thought you to be a little more up-beat happier person!

I'll admit, I haven't had to deal with Ford directly, but then, customers aren't supposed to, which was my point.

I spent about 3 months shopping for an 05 Mustang GT, at local lots, and on ebay, and ended up finding the 06 GT I ended up buying out of state. So, I wouldn't call it instant gratification.

As a newcomer here, the situation really sounded like a whole lot of whining. And when I ran across the posts about calling up Ford and starting a campaign, I just had to laugh, because that is ridiculous.....a "too much time on your hands" situation.

talk to 'pullmeoverred05' see if he agrees...it took him 7+ months to recieve a VIN on an allocated order- only then after contacting someone WAY up at Ford...fords customer support sucks- if you woulda been trying to order/buy a GT up north in 05/06, youd know why the whining...buying out of state is fine- but then if the cars on the lot somewhere, sight unseen, how many 'test drives' did it have- I wasnt wanting to risk it...if I knew then what I know now, I woulda ordered thru Carlos at Gary Yeomans in Daytona, flown down and drove it home 1100 miles (MSRP/no test drives/no BS- good dealer with major allocations).

Last fall one fella had mentioned his VIN'd order 'never got built' and had to reorder- suggested he have Kzinti run the VIN and see what happened (VIN=BUILD)...guess whose dealer sold his car out from under him via dealer trade at over MSRP to another dealer that marked it up even more. it was bull**** everywhere up here last year, dealers demanding 5-7k over sticker to accept an order, and even then some 'never getting built' ( read: they mighta got 10 over from some other sucker).

I'm not whining for my sake or yours- Ive got mine... but everyone else that may someday decide to order a ford thru their assinine system of allocations by region, and 'dealer is the only customer' support- it sucks, and its bad for Ford. Kzinti's support was great- wether his methods were right or wrong, it was a way to know where you stood in FACT, not dealer BS- the 'checks and balances' straightened out a few crooked sales, and the info pacified a lot of impatient buyers. ( remember- his info was not EVEN available to dealers so they couldnt have shared it even if they had the time or cared to)

Kzinti made buying better for a lot of whiners, and for quite a few guys that were being outright lied to by crooked dealers- either way those folks just may buy another ford someday, so I kinda think he had a pretty good idea.

Looks like I'm late on this one... but he REALLY helped me out as well, I had ordered my car from overseas and the dealership was absolutely WORTHLESS! They couldn't tell me a thing about my car, except that it was labeled as an Export to Switzerland... but I was supposed to pick it up in the states!

He got me all the production info (I was leaving my old base at a specific time, so I knew the vehicle would be ready for me to pickup then) and got me a copy of the window sticker. That was really worth the peace of mind... I think he was doing a great and very useful job.

I'd image that is very frustrating, and I believe all of it after my experience trying to buy a GT500, which I pre-ordered in March of 2005, almost a year and a half before the cars were available. I got screwed every which way by the dealer, who clearly just wanted to sell it on ebay.

Although I can relate because of that situation, I'm not going around whining about not getting the car I ordered...I just bought something else from a different dealer. There are some horrible dealers, and some awesome ones. You just have to find a good dealership and build some relationships with the sales team, and then they'll go out of their way to please you. THAT, IMO, is where effort should be put...into the dealer relationship. Ford is a dead end.

I placed a order with local dealer for a 06, after 4 months of waiting for car to arrive I found out about Mr K . After a couple of weeks I had my window sticker ....guess what ..the dealer had orderd the wrong color interior . If not for Mr K I would have waited maybe another month before I found this out . The man was a big help to me and a whole lot of others and has done more for stang owners than most people know . I did send emails that I got from 429 and got a respnse from Giomonti or whatever the hell his name was ...he thanked me for my e mail and did agree customer service was key ...Hope it helped K a little??

That woulda been THIS GUY

Title: Vice President, Ford Motor Company; President, Ford and Lincoln Mercury

hopefully one of these guys will get tired of hearing about how great Kzinti was for buyers, and how good a tool it could be for that service to be out there for all their customers...by all accounts, those that got replies hear the same thing- they kinda agree...theyve known about Kzinti for quite some time, and hopefully if enough folks remind them, his idea wont just fade away at Ford- guaranteed other manufacturers had heard about his service too.

edit- WOW- just noticed Ive hit over 500 posts??? guess I am spending a bit too much time on the computer... :)

I still do not buy that ford killed him for what he was doing. The way the entire thing went down he let it sound like thats what happened, but just put two and two together.

He worked at Kansas City Assembly according to his name tag on the provided website. And Kansas City Assembly is closing.........
