www.tmaturbo.com has a kickass turbo kit. you can run up to 4 PSI on the stock fuel pump with a turbo and make almost the same hp as a procharger on 10 PSI. it costs a little more but when you up the boost with a better fuel system..........you could easily make 300+ rwhp with a good tune on 10 PSI!!!! you can't do that with any stock block v6 with a blower

the 3.8 block is insanely strong. i have heard of a few with around 700 hp being stuffed through 'em. the stock block can take 10 PSI easily with a good tune. but if you want mad power (400+) you will need forged internals. i would go with a stroker kit. you can get one from ww.supersixmotorsports.com for a max of $1800. the 4.3 kit should easily be good for 400 rwhp. and you could slap a powerpak on it and get around 300 crank hp NA.

how much hp can you add before having to beef up the rear end and drivetrain?

i wouldn't try to take a P.O.S. transmission like the T-5 over the 300 lb-ft of torque mark. the 7.5 rear end fitted with a girdle and other goodies like dtroit or auburn posi and gears will take it, but not for drag racing. i would go with an 8.8 just to be safe. for a trans. i would go with a TKO-500 or T-56 conversion. 6-speeds are sexy
