LOL, in the original post people were making fun of the announcer. That Supra was bad ass for a four cillinder and fast... that mustang got its ass handed to it, but good race, maybe next time the announcer won't underestimate Supras...

I think the announcer was being sarcastic....plus a Supra isn't a 4 banger. It has 6 mighty cylinders.

oh really??? i didn't know that, i always thought they were considered a four banger... hmmm, i don't know much bout supras but maybe thats what makes them faster than ur average four banger...

is that good compared to a 3.3L 4 cillinder? A celica has a 3.3L 4C... so if the supra has a 3.0L 6C is that better or worse?

Celica has a 1.8L 4C engine in it. Unless we're talking about different cars.

No celica ever had a 3.3 4C??

The Celica has a 1.8L in it, some of the older ones had a 2.0 in them.

Supra 3.0 straight 6
Skyline 2.6 Straight 6
300Zx 3.0 V6, and I believe some had straight 6s
Any Honda Civic 1.6-1.7 I4s
WRX/STi 2.0/2.5 H4
3kGT 3.0 V6
EVO8 2.0 I4

I might be wrong on the 300Z motor.

Oh and that stang got PWN3333333333333D....you just GOTTA love that BOV sound comin off the Supra...

hehe yea i know a lot of import information 2, im not just a v8 or stang guy, yea stang r 1 of my fav cars, but i like imports 2, but i dont like fwd. Nothing against ur civics or other nice fwd but i just dont like it

Lets not forget that, that supra was probably the Twin Turbo supra. I dont like many imports but I have got to give credit to supra's. On the other hand take a twin turbo stang and put it up against a twin turbo supra and most likely the stang is gonna blow away the supra.

Eventually you'll all see its not what manufacture it is...is the guy who spends the most money. Mustangs and Supras will always be great rivals and i've seen both types of cars run crazy fast numbers.
but it wont matter. cause none of them will beat my '01 cobra with the .9L inline 8 and tri-turbos and NOS and the massive Mustang sticker in the back (adds 100hp off the line)....!!!!!!!!!!!

i didn't know that about the celicas, i thought that the info i had was wrong when u said the supra had a 3.0 in it. I was looking at an older Celica GT Vert on ebay and when I scrolled down it said 3.3L, i was like dang, my acura has like a 1.8 in it, thats a lot of displacement for a little 4C... prolly a typo.

Supra's....Capable of 900+rwhp but still can't reach the 8s.

Supra's are capable of a great amount of HP however their weight and boost lag hinder that car greatly.

Celica's never came with anything bigger then a 2.0L I believe.
