feel free to make the losing bet, i'm aware of the I8s however if you can show me an 0.9L inline 8 with tri turbos then i'll eat my statment. better yet show, me the sticker that adds 100hp.

or just learn to take a joke....
Sarcasm: the lowest form of humor, often used by someone lacking intelligence to construct a post that people could actually laugh at.
HEY! You guys COOL it! I will NOT have this post turned into a flaming match of testosterone! Talk cars not your ego! GEEZ!
Hey Vzla Stang, I know someone who knows almost EVERYTHING about Supras, he might know something about the I8... if you would like I can give you his AIM name, of course after asking his permission...
Black Snake, I suggest that you go slip into OFF TOPIC and read THINGS ARE CHANGING AGAIN before you get yourself banned... don't come in here a new member getting all egotistical and starting fights.

actually, that stang was only about an 1/4 second or so maybe less behind the supra but the supra did have him bad for a minute but if you notice at the end the stang almost got him... watch the lights.
ReDevilGT - Fair enough. Tried to make a joke and people took me seriously. appologies.
ShadowG03 - I thought that too, but if you look at the trap speeds it looks like the supra let up at the end knowing he already won. Mustang had a trap of 120ish and the supra let down to 111 unless i read it wrong.
Could be but it flashed to the stangs side to quick I thought I saw 120 too though, either way supra's are pretty fast cars, that vid should give ricers something to jerk off to for awhile. btw was that a cobra or just a s/c 281. TT supras sell for usually no less than 27 or 28k with a ton of miles on em, I'd still take a new stang and work with it.
MK4 supras (93-98) have a 2JZ 3.0L Inline-6 with Twin Sequential Turbos and a variable length intake manifold with the 98' models utilizing VVT-I which is a highly advanced variable valve timing system. They can hold 30+ PSI on the stock shortblock and the drive train is bombproof..... this is just a little something I have learned today. Talking to Supra people nnnnn STUFF!

Im the designer of the motor "blacksnake" was speaking of. Only he made a typo its a 10.9 liter inline 8. I went with a compound turbo system on this particular setup and he also forgot to mention it is not a gasoline motor. Its a diesel. Basically what we did with this particular motor is we took a Cummins turbo diesel as the intial motor and messaged it to get the beast we have now. There were engineers from both Ford and Toyota working on the original schematics of this particular cummins engine, but it wasnt "officially" of Toyota and Ford design, cummins contracts mainly through Chrysler. Anyway, on the tri turbo setup we actually run what is known as compound turbocharging. This form of turbocharging starts off with us using a very large turbo, in this case we started with a Innovative turbo GT-80, and from there we then fed the oulet of that turbo into a water to air intercooler to cool it enough to then be thrown into the inlet of the next turbo a GT72, this turbo then compresses the already compressed air from the first turbo, get intercooled by another water to air intercooler and runs it into our last turbo a GT61.
From this turbo a front mounted air to air intercooler is used and then the charge air is thrown into the intake. Mind you that by the last turbo this turbo diesel is seeing in the area of 120+ pounds of boost. This is why I opted to use Innovative turbos, they use a titanium compressor wheel on their turbos which allows these extreme pressure levels to be run on the turbos. "blacksnake" is a local customer who was NOT supposed to talk about the motor but now that the secret is out, it seems as though I would have to tell you guys about it. Because of the extreme boost seen on this motor we had to actually weld the head onto the block of the motor to keep it from lifting under the pressure we ran on the motor. And I highly doubt we would ever see this type of pressure on a gasoline motor, like the Supras or Mustangs run. The spark plugs simply could not take the heat and would cause detonation and preignition left and right, therefore the diesels needed to be used in this case. I dont want to reveal exacts on the power of the motor just yet but just as an estimate we are expecting 1500+ horsepower and 2000+ ft./lb. or torque.
Stay tuned ill keep you guys updated on the details of this motor. What kind of car should I put it in? Im looking at maybe a older Supra as a sleeper or maybe IROC Camaro because of the extremely long hood. As this motor is pretty big.
Oh and just to keep it on topic, that was a good race that Supra is badass im sure he spanks them all the time, looks to me like he let off toward the end there.
