Default just got a 04 3.9

I just got a black 3.9 40th anniv mustang. im looking to mod, i wanted the GT but the insurence was more than i could afford so i want to build mine into something that can run with a GT. I dont want any kind of forced induction. I looked up some intakes, exhaust, and chips and most say they will not void the factory warrinty. IS this true? i dotn want to put an exhaust on and soemthing go wrong and the dealership say it was caused my my exhaust and not fix it.
i have gone through the forums and seen good parts to put on but if any one has a good ideas it would be great

its possibe for you to take a PI GT, but hard to do, go to supersixmotorsports and get a good set of heads, for a 3V you need F/I to beat

right now im looking and getting flowmaster dule exhaust and a chip. any suggestions on chips, i havent seem many people say to much about them. I mean they claim to boost prefromance quite a bit. I traded my 01 eclipse GT for the mustang and i know chips did nothing for it. I guess they are so highly tuned from the factory a chip didnt do any thing. is this the same for mustangs or is it completely different?

How much did you pay for that chip you put on the eclipse, and where did you get it?

i mean i dont have to kill a gt jsut be able to stay with a gt like not get blown out. I am looking to build a respectable v6 mustang.

I never got a chip for the v6 because every one said they do nothing for you on that type of car. It was a 3.0 v6 with 210 hp it was basically tuned to the max from the factory.

i was jsut wondering if chips do work for american cars and how much hp or touque to expect if any

If you build an n/a six the right way, you can toast a GT. Go to super six motorsports. If you really want to make some power, look at their power paks, and pick the one that suits what you want do accomplish with your car.

Actually, plan on it. You obviously don't know the potential of the 3.8/3.9 split port V6s. His motor, a SSM 4.2 long rod stroker kit and a dyno tune will get him between 235-245 RWHP, depending on tranny and little things of the sort. Sorry to say it, but in only reading two of your posts, I can tell you are an ignorant, prejudiced asshat. Learn something about push rod V6s, then come in here and start to tell people what to buy.

As for the thread starter, if you wanna run V8s N/A, go to this site: www.supersixmotorsports.com

Look at the previously mentioned 4.2L Long Rod Stroker kit
3.8/3.9/4.2 Stage 2 Power Paks(H/C/I for your motor)
You'll need a hand held tuner of some sort and a good tune.
Gonna want new injectors and fuel pump
Posi(Any Detroit Locker or Auburn posi/LSD will do)
3.90 or 4.10 diff gear ratio

And you will have yourself one MEAN ass mustang[8D]
