Use a reverse socket to get it out

take a dremel tool cut a slot in the top and use a flat head screw driver.

Autozone sells reverse sockets that will take out any striped bolt or in your case screw. If it doesn't work usually They'll return it. (i'd return it either way save myself twenty bucks)

thanks tim. looks like i'm headed down to autozone... i still don't understand why Ford would put loctite on a phillips screw, but whatever.

I can tell Tim's been there before. Dremel tool with a cut off wheel is your friend. The fact that it has a phillips head indicates that it's too small to be a good candidate for either an easy out or a reverse grip socket. Try to slot it as close to the center as possible for the maximum effectiveness.

LOL, oops. We're talking about a screw. Yeah, good luck with vice grips on a phillips screw... I thought we were talking about a bolt for some reason

ok i give up. i went and bought a dremel tool and still can't get them out. the screws are really soft and i cut a slit for a flathead, but they just keep stripping themselves. i even tried to cut the head off the screw, but all i did was dull the **** out of one cutting wheel, and shatter the other one. do they sell throttle position sensors at auto part stores?
