I have always thought of a good wheel for 65 or 66 to be the wheels I saw on most of the cars in the 60's, Magnum 500's, Keystone Kasssic's, or the torque thrust with black satin spokes, of course in 14 or 15". Those wheels looked great in the 60's and still look great today. It evokes great memories to see the things I enjoyed as a teenager still look cool 40 years later.Am currently looking for a set of Keystone Klassics to put on mine, about the only thing I would rather have than the minilite 14" wheels on the car now.

In my opinion if you get the right style of wheel that FITS the car right with no rubbing then get the the stance right on the car you can't beat the way 17's look on the classic stangs. Too many people have the dang Torq Thrust II's on now. I like custom designed wheels that not everybody can just run out and buy anywhere.

thats a sweet ride you got there^^^^

I prefer the 17" alot on a car. I just need to get some new shocks and stiffen up the suspension cause i am rubbing a bit....

here's a little before and after

before,

after,

I have a few laying around....

Those are a couple weeks old, I recently replaced the heater plenum, the dash board, and right now, its in the shop getting a sound system put in......(some of you may hate me for it). I will get more pics up when i get it back next week hopefully....

you have a sweet car yourself. I want to de-badge my car as well. How did you deal with the remaining holes from the badges on the side???

Chris

I didnt debadge it, the PO did. I liked how it looked so much that I just kept it that way, plus I dont have any of the badges laying around. I think he must have done it when he got it repainted., because I can see in the front fenders behind the splash shield that there is some bondo sticking through the holes.

Do the '05 rims fit or do you have to get a kit?

you'd have to get spacers or maybe thats just for 64-66. I'm not sure about 67-up.

No I guess I'm the crazy one. I can see it now but when I made that last post there was just a little square with an x.

I like the 15"--only because they fill the well a little better than the 14's. In order of preference, I would say:

Chrome Cragars--classic look
Style Steel wheels- best factory wheels ever - in my opinion
Torque thrusts - what I have currently---would like to get rid of them
gt 500's - also very classy

Also, gotta love the white-letter tires.
