What are you talking about hubcaps for? Mag 500's don't have hubcaps. Or, are you talking about the original steel wheels with the hubcaps? Yeah, I like those too. Not necessarily the spinners, but the original steel wheels with original hub caps.

I like less rubber. More rim. 16-17's. I dont like anything over 17. I would TAKE 15's but i wouldn't be happy.

i really do like the Mag 500's but my rims and tires came Brand new when i bought the car, they have 10 miles to their name. and i would rather pay $0 for these nice 15" Cragar S/S rims then $1k for 15" Mag 500's. if these wernt the S/S model, i would trade with my dad for his mag 500's.

Have gone the route of several styles over the 16 years I have had the car to get to where I'm now. I've got the 6 banger, so I started out with the 4 lug and original plain hubcaps. Went to a set of used chrome dish, even ran a borrowed set of the wires mounted on the chrome dish jus to see how it looked, then converted to five lug with aftermarket reproduction wires, but got rid of that due to throwing the wires off and losing a couple. Used 5 lug Chrome dish was the next step, but didn't like the looks any better than when I had the same in the 4 lug. Spent several months deciding upon either Magnum 500's Torq Thrust D with the grey center or the 65 type style steel. Went the 65 styled mainly to keep more of an original look at least to the exterior of the car. Just don't make a decision in a hurry. I'ts hard to get your money out of a set that you decide don't like after purchasing.

I like 15" on original cars but on restomods (like mine) I prefer a little more wheel. I don't care for a big chrome wheel though which is why I went with a cast aluminum Boyd Coddington 17's on my car. I think I have enough rubber on mine that it still looks good. All this discussion said, that 's whats so great about building your car. You can put what you like best on it. Thumbnail Image
