The V6 will not sound like that...but there are different combinations you have to choose from...listen to clips and then see how much you want to spend....

Check this post out as it may help u with your decision....

I have a true dual setup with cutom made H-pipe and Flowmasters SUper 40 Catbacks and I love the sound...it is all a matter of choice....here is a sample of mine:

hey ricanpassion, are your flowmasters axlebacks, or did you have them mounted in front of the axle?

I'm kinda new to this, i thought that an h-pipe was put in place of the cats, could you just quickly explain how your system is set up?

Thanks

Mine are CatBacks (from catalytic converters to muffler)...Axle backs are just that from the rear axle back to the tips (basically just the mufflers)..here is a diagram that breaks it down a bit better

This is an example of a axle-back diagram:
http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/products/images/kitpdfs/17421.pdf

This is an example of a Cat-back diagram: (But this is a kit that attaches/replaces the existing y-pipe with another Y-pipe)
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/16605_lg.jpg

This is another example of a cat-back design but using x-pipe:
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/parts/15485_lg.jpg

An H-pipe is a crossover pipe that joins both independent exhausts after the Catalytic converters...look at this one and picture that:

Hope that helps

Even though this is on the old 5.0...it explains the H-pipe setup:
http://www.mustang50magazine.com/howto/22144/

Just keep in mind that our new stangs the mufflers are now underneath the rear bumper instead of mid-body(older mustangs)

where did you go to get your exhaust work done and about how much did it cost for parts and labor?

I went to my local Meineike after shopping online and locally, he was the cheapest for what I wanted...I paid $513 (Tax & labor included) and that was with picking up a tire for my friend's car too (-$40) so it actually cost me $473.

Check locally first as they maybe able to save on s&H and may do it all custom & offer warranties...they also welded all of my exhaust (some don't like that as it eliminates the ease or removal if need be)...but I rather have my welded so all thos pesky little clamps do not rattle loose after a while!
