Mustang GT vs Trans am's

I was wondering if anybody has raced a trans am with their mustang, i used to have one and let me tell u they are beefy.

I have never raced one, but if it were stock for stock as bad as I hate to say it, I would put my money on the TA.[:@]

I have raced 2. One with the LT1 and one with an LS1. LS1 race I got my ass handed to me ( i'm all stock ). LT1 race was a lot closer, with him pulling ahead up top.

Even if you go back to 1988 T/A. They will smoke you. they got 13.8 1/4 mi. youre a 14.2

i walk trans am's lol. unless they are really really quick (15lbs of boost or more). but i aint no gt. tons of 2 valve cars hang with f-bodies in my town.

ls1's you need big mods. stock for stock it is a drivers race with lt1's. from my experience anyways.

Some kid at my school with a mid-90s Formula with the LT1 tried to get cute with me the other day. I saw him coming up in my mirror on the outer road hauling past me, and i just dropped into 2nd and spanked the holy sh*t out of him. I've unfortunately never raced an LS1 Trans Am.

He must not have been trying. A solid LT1 will put down at least 250rwhp stock. Can you put that down? And you say 'unforunately' race an LS1? You mean 'fortunately.' Because an LS1 will make you cry.

i have raced plenty of ls1's none of which made me cry, beat a few with my 98gt, although far from stock it. will take a nice mod list to stay with lsx car.
